Given its descriptive nickname, The City of Trees and its urban forest shouldn't come as too much of a surprise. Rolling hills lead up to panoramic views of the Greater LA area, and even look out toward the Pacific coastline. You might catch a glimpse of some local wildlife scurrying about -- mainly lizards and squirrels -- although mountain lions, coyotes, and rattlesnakes have been spotted, too. Your safest bet is to just head to the neighboring town and pay a visit to the local zoo.

The nearest airport is in John Wayne Airport (SNA), located 5 mi (8.1 km) from the city center. If you're unable to find a flight that fits your schedule, you could also fly into Los Angeles - Ontario Intl. Airport (ONT), which is 25.7 mi (41.3 km) away.
