The cozy city of Little Cayman awaits you
The island views and other outdoor surroundings create an inviting atmosphere in Little Cayman. Renowned for its bird watching, snorkeling and diving, this city welcomes all visitors. Many of our vacation rentals offer full kitchens, spacious living quarters and sometimes even a hot tub—perfect for a relaxing getaway.
A surprising number of attractions
For such a small place, you'll be surprised at the number of attractions to visit. While you stay at a Little Cayman vacation rental, you can explore the Little Cayman Museum which houses a unique collection of local historic artifacts. Alternatively, the vast research center is a decades-old, not-for-profit organization which looks to protect the islands' coral reefs through education and conservation. Meanwhile, the Booby Pond and Rookery is part of the Cayman Islands National Trust and is home to the largest population of blue-footed boobies. Well worth an afternoon to explore.
A pleasant year-round climate
With temperatures hovering in the 80s all year, other than a little dip during winter, the island's climate is perfect almost all the time. It receives just a little rain in the afternoons through the summer season and misses the hurricane belt completely. If you visit during the high season between December and April, be sure to book up your Little Cayman vacation rental well in advance to avoid disappointment. Outside of these months, as long as you don't mind the odd rain shower, it can be much better value and there are fewer tourists to contend with.
Spiky lionfish and Cuban dogfish
Don your flippers and mask to dive down into the deep and discover the staggering number of marine species that inhabit the waters around this Caribbean Island. As you look through your goggles, you'll likely spot a spiky lionfish, a moray eel or 2, an interestingly named Cuban dogfish or even a magnificent shark. If you look below, you may catch a glimpse of a stingray gliding past, and if you're really lucky, the odd sea turtle looking for squid or crustaceans to eat. Back on dry land, you'll want to look to the skies for Cayman Brac parrots.
