            Beautiful Oasis in August 2016

            5 of 5
We had 5 people stay at this cabin. The cabin is well appointed and clean. The beds are comfortable and plenty of high quality linens. The kitchen was small but well laid out. There is no dishwasher or garbage disposal. The living area is FANTASTIC! It's like being in nature without getting bitten by bugs. There are floor to ceiling windows with several bird feeders hung to bring in humming birds, woodpeckers and numerous other birds. During our stay we were able to watch deer, turkeys, rabbits, squirrels, chipmunks, and on our last day a mink. It's a beautiful, relaxing, breath-taking area. The river that runs through the property is beautiful. Lots of ducks come in and fly off from there. One of my best memories is at the end of the day, sitting on that bridge, and putting my feet in the chilly water. Listening to the birds and just being in nature. It was so fun! The manager/owner of the property was very easy to work with. She answered my many questions graciously and was a wealth of information about the area. She even had snacks for us on the dining room table when we came in the first night. It was a welcomed gift as our planes had been delayed and we didn't arrive until almost 11 p.m. The cabin was well stocked with all paper products and that was nice too. Lots of great memories were made at this location. My family is wanting to go back when we aren't working. This was a working trip for us and it was so nice to come home to such a beautiful place. The screened in dining area was wonderful and a lot of our meals took place there because we had puzzles going on the main dining room area. My kids were unplugged (no WiFi and very few TV channels) and enjoyed each other and the many board games and card games. It was a little difficult for me because I run both my businesses with heavy internet use, but there's a lovely library about 5 miles away that was completely accommodating for my purposes. I can, without hesitation, recommend this cabin. It is a treasure to stay there. I'm sure in the winter it's amazing with snow. If you're considering this property for a vacation or recharge weekend, please do. You will not regret it and probably find it hard to leave as we did.
