Summers see much warmer weather with temperatures ranging from 68 to 88 degrees Fahrenheit. Spring and fall both have moderate temperatures but can spike in either direction at times. There is no particularly rainy season with an average of three to four inches of precipitation per month. Spring and fall are both beautiful times to visit Central Virginia.

Getting to Central Virginia by car is common. Many highways and roads lead to the many towns in this area. A rental car is a common option for touring the countryside at your own pace after flying into town. There are several regional airports in the area for those who choose to fly to Virginia. The Charlottesville and Orange County Regional Airports are smaller airports serving the middle of the state. Larger airports are closer to Washington D.C. and include Dulles and Reagan National Airports. Taking a train to Virginia is another option, and train stations are abundant. Some of the places Amtrak will stop include Charlottesville, Woodbridge, and Richmond. No matter how you get to Central Virginia, you will make memories to last a lifetime.
