The weather at Texas lakes can vary greatly based on the location of the lake. Texas is one of the largest states in the country, and there are several hundred miles across the state in any direction. In fact, it can take a full day to drive across the state from north to south or from east to east. With this in mind, you may have a humid subtropical climate at lakes closer to the Gulf of Mexico, and the climate may transition into a continental climate farther north in the state.
