      Enjoyable stay

The apartment was well-equipped as stated. It suited our needs well. Owner-manager very responsive to our queries. Across the street from bus stop to Interlaken with service approximately twice per hour (less on weekend) made it possible to employ our rental car only for more out of the way travel excursions. Our son enjoyed swimming in the Brienzersee a short walk away when the sun was shining, and traveled via the provided bike 10 minutes to a large pond with warmer water on other days. Clothes washer was a plus; we used the clothes dryer at the nearby au lac campground. Would not hesitate to recommend the "Lakeside apartment" to those interested in exploring the invigorating Berner Oberland.

We'll never forget our Switzerland 'home'!!

My husband and I spent a week at this chalet. Before our arrival Sandy was AMAZING! She always answered my questions about the area and provided detailed information. Upon arrival we found the chalet to be exactly as shown in the pictures. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare food. We used the kitchen for almost all meals to save money - there are plenty of plates, cups, bowls and utensils. The Interlaken Ost train station is a 25-30 minute walk along the water. The return trip is a bit of a hike uphill so I recommend using the bus when possible. The chalet was perfect for exploring the area and we saw the most amazing locations - Harder Kulm, Schynige Platte, Lauterbrunnen, Murren, Allmendhubel, Gimmelwald, Kleine Scheidegg, Jungfrau, Mannlichen, Wengen, Brienz, Giessbach (check out the waterfall), Niederhorn (ride the trotti bikes at the Middle Station... so fun!!!), Thun, Grindelwald and First. I would not hesitate to stay at this chalet if we return to the area in the future. Thank you Sandy for an amazing place to stay!!
