We just finished our stay at the Niesenview Chalet in Erlenbach im Simmental. My wife and I, our 3 children and my wife's parents all stayed comfortably in the house. There is a shower in the main floor bathroom, and just a 1/2 bath with a toilet upstairs, which worked fine for our group. The house is literally the highest house on the north side of the Simmental valley. Since we had a large group, we rented a large van, and there is plenty of room to park right at this house. That is a huge plus when loading/unloading at the beginning and end of each day. We used the house mainly for sleeping. There is a great kitchen in it, but we didn't cook any meals there. We used the washing machine to clean my son's clothes after he took a massive fall off the Trotti bike he rode down the mountain at Grindelwald. There was plenty of hot water for many showers each morning. The house has wifi, but we didn't use it because we used our T-Mobile phones with free data roaming while we traveled. The house was a perfect home base to explore the Berner Oberland, including Interlaken, Thun, Brienz, Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen. We made a day trip up north to Stein am Rhein, and visited the Chapel Bridge in Lucerne as well. Our kids loved winding down on the trampoline. It is the most picturesque setting ever for a trampoline!! The house is surrounded by fields with grazing cows, goats and sheep. This results in a symphony of bells ringing when the animals are moving, and it provides the perfect soundtrack to the amazing views all around. Mr. Erb was easy to communicate with in English. He answered our questions via email and everything about our stay was as we expected. We have now stayed in three different houses in the Simmental, and we will definitely stay in this one again on our next visit.
