              Recent Nisbet Beach Reviews

Wish we could have stayed longer

              5 of 5
My wife and I spent a wonderful week at Lazy Turtle and agree with all the positives mentioned in earlier reviews - location, amenities, the efficiency of Jane and her team, comfort, and just the overall beauty of Nevis. We felt that this was one of the best houses we have rented, and we have rented a lot of cottages and villas over the years. Nisbet Beach was our favorite beach on the island because of its beauty, lack of many people and treasures to be found - shells, driftwood and sea glass. We tried a few of the restaurants on Nevis and all were good, although somewhat pricey. Our favorite was the Gin Trap with a fantastic bar area, fantastic views, and delicious food. I understand the house is on the market. If I was thinking about moving to Nevis, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

              2 couple getaway delight

              5 of 5
Beautiful unspoiled island and perfect island villa. Very well maintained with manicured gardens lined with cockle shell paths to a private ocean beach and views to pounding surf. Housekeeper and pool/gardener polite and thorough. A paradise holiday next to a lovely welcoming plantation. Will come again to same villa as it has defined perfection, relaxation, and " I deserve-ability".

              Paradise

              5 of 5
It all started when my husband was rewarded with a sabbatica at work. We have small children that love the beach so tropical was the obvious choice. We luckliy stumbled upon the beautiful island of Nevis. A tiny volcanic island with beautiful beaches and rainforest. We looked at the resort options which were beautiful but we really wanted something just for our family to spend time together where we could cook meals together and come and go as we pleased. Then we found the Coral Reef Villa. The reviews were all fabulous and the pictures looked like paradise. We contacted the owner Jane and inquired about renting the house for 2 weeks in June. After speaking with Jane we knew it was exactly where we wanted to be. Jane was so amazing and helpful throughout rental process and with all the many questions we had before we arrived in Nevis. On our arrival in St Kitts Jane arranged for our transport over to the house which saved a lot of money. She recommended renting a car from Marlon which we did. The rental car was perfect and Marlon was great. Jane also arranged for Marlon to give us a private tour of the island and show us what the island has to offer. This was a fabulous gift and was so informative. We couldn't believe how beautiful the house was when we arrived. My favorite place in the entire house was the huge screened in porch. We spent most of our time there when we were home. We ate all of our meals there together which was awesome. The 2 hammocks on the porch were my favorite places to nap. The pool was perfect and refreshing. The gardens surrounding the house were so colorful. There was no air conditioner in the house which I was afraid would be a problem, but with the open air floor plan and fans we felt a constant ocean breeze. we had our own private walk to the beach. bring water shoes!!Just to the right of the house was a man made reef where we spent a lot of time snorkeling. We saw beautiful fish, crabs and lobsters. our favorite thing to do at night was crab hunting in front of the house. The kids loved it and the Crabs were huge. Jane has an agreement with the resort Nisbet Plantation next door, so we were able to keep an open tab at the beach bar and restuarant which were awesome. We bought groceries and cooked most of our meals and saved money. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a meal. The housekeeper Jeanine arrived every morning to clean and change sheets which was a real treat. A true vacation in Paradise!
