Take a stroll around the majestic Proposal Rock Island, which acquired its name in tribute to a sea captain's proposal to his long adored sweetheart on the unique rock. It is part of the Neskowin Beach State Recreation Site.
The Nestucca Bay National Wildlife Refuge was created in 1991 and opened for public viewing in 2008 after two parking lots were constructed. The small upper lot has handicap access. The entrance to the refuge is found on Highway 101 just north of Neskowin.
