Awesome little gem

5 of 5
Don't let the pic fool you. This is a lovely rental on a pristine lake not too far from Yarmouth, and definitely worth the extra time to get there. I had originally booked at the Comfort Inn near the boat, but I thought I'd see if something more creative was available. Ivy & Trent have done an incredible job making this a warm and welcoming oasis for weary travelers. We were arriving on the Cat ferry from Portland and it was several hours late, arriving at 1 am. Ivy stayed up to welcome us and make sure we were safe and comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was better than the Hilton we'd just stayed at the night before in Portland. Wife and I were having a hard time thinking of anything she missed to take care of us. She thought of everything. You can really tell she put a lot of thought and care into making this place awesome. She had water and coffee and breakfast and snacks ready for us. They gave us our space but were also so very accommodating we were disappointed we were only staying for one night.

Beautiful cozy well appointed cottage on Bay of Fundy

5 of 5
One of last cottages on the point, very private with a nice path for walking or biking along the Bay. The cottage and grounds were very nice, well equipped with everything you could need. Perfect location to get away from it all, peaceful tiny fishing village. Lavena's Catch Cafe on the island has best food of all restaurants we tried in NS and PEI. Went whale watching off the island by Zodiac with Ocean Explorations for some fantastic whale sightings. Was the perfect location to kick back, slow down and enjoy the beauty of Nova Scotia and the Bay of Fundy tides.
