The weather in the Wrightsville Beach area cannot be beat most days of the year. The average high in January, the coldest month is 56 degrees, and the average high in the warmest month, July, is 89 degrees. The average low spans from 35 degrees to 72 degrees, providing a truly mild climate almost year-round for you to enjoy on your trip. The area usually receives approximately 57 inches of rainfall and one to two inches of snowfall each year. With a humid subtropical climate in place, you can expect the average humidity level to range between the 60s and 80s, with the most humid months of the year being the summer months.

How to Get There

The easiest way to reach Wrightsville Beach from far away is to fly into the Wilmington airport and book a rental car there. Then, you can travel via Highway 17 to the beach. If you are planning a road trip, Interstates 40 and 74 converge in Wilmington, and Highway 17 passes through the town. You can follow your own map to reach one of these major roadways from your starting point to most easily make your way by car to Wrightsville Beach.
