Great Rental - Perfect for Exploring the Gila

      5 of 5
We rented this house during the Ghost Town 38.5, which is a race that starts and finishes about a half mile away from the property and runs to/from/through the Gila National Forest. It made it really convenient to be able to walk back and forth from race headquarters, especially after the race when I could walk back and take a quick shower before heading back to cheer in the rest of the runners before the post-race BBQ. The layout is also very convenient, especially if you have multiple people. While we didn't use the kitchen very much, we did take advantage of the board games that were in a cupboard and my wife and a friend that was with us watched the golden globes while I was off in the separate building getting some shut eye before my early wake up call for the race. The house is very comfortable, and being able to wash my running clothes before having to drive back to my friend's place and then fly back to the other side of the country was much appreciated. We were wishing that we had the time to spend a full week here and using it as a base for exploring the area, so it was too bad that we only had a few nights that we could stay. I definitely recommend this rental if you are going to be in the area. In fact, I met a local a few doors down while checking in for my flight using the wi-fi that was available down the road and gave him the contact info for this rental as he has some friends that were planning to come visit in a few months.
