Magical Property on The Bay of Fundy.

This beautifully efficient and comfortable cottage is situated within steps of the high tide mark. Having been fortunate enough to have stayed here numerous times throughout the years, I have experienced the broad spectrum of its ever-changing nature. Each part of the spring/summer/fall season brings with it certain visual, auditory and sensory delights. One needs to work with nature and be ready to apply sunscreen lotion and, at times, mosquito repellent… which are thoughtfully provided. From the balcony on the top floor of the cottage, one feels as though one is on the deck of an ocean liner. The incoming tide produces a delightful sound, while the outgoing tide enables one to explore the vastness of the ocean floor. The smell of the sweetgrass is intensified by the full sun while the tidal pools to one side of the property fill to overflowing with the incoming tide… particularly during full moons and downpours. The well-equipped kitchen with its scenic sitting area is on the top floor, along with a half-bathroom. The two bedrooms, each with a queen-sized bed are on the entry-level floor, along with a full bathroom which houses a washer-dryer unit. There are plenty of accouterments in the bathroom cabinets, should one have forgotten important items at home. In the hallway linen closet, there are plenty of clean, fluffy bath towels, and in each bedroom closet, one can find extra pillows and blankets. The cottage is most thoughtfully zoned for temperature control at the turn of a knob. A stay here, be it long or short, leaves one with a sense of well-being and peace. I eagerly look forward to many more visits here and many more delightful experiences at this Magical Kingdom by the Sea. EH from LI, NY

                          Worth a second visit!

My husband and I stayed at this apartment last summer and could not wait to make it part of our vacation again this year. Stephen and Glenn are wonderful hosts who have put a great deal of thought and care into their property. The apartment is tastefully decorated, clean and extremely comfortable. The garden and the river view are icing on the cake. Those who enjoy hiking will find lots of great trails close by and the galleries, shops and museums of St. Andrews are only a short drive away. We cannot recommend this place more highly.

                          Great vacation experience

This was a great place to stay and I can’t really think of anything to make it better. The home was very comfortable for two couple and offered a lot of privacy. The living room, kitchen (very well equipped), and dining area were very spacious and comfortable with great views of the Bay of Fundy. The master bedroom is on the main floor as well as a half bath. The downstairs is a bright walk out basement, two comfortable bedrooms, a sitting room, full bathroom and laundry area. There were plenty of towels and pillows. The location is remote and quiet but easy to get to. So this is not the rental for you if you are looking for a wild time! However, we were looking for a quiet and peaceful vacation home and we were not disappointed! If you like hiking, nature, and quiet beach walking you will love this home. On the property you have a short walk through a small wooded area to get to the stairs that lead to the essentially private beach. The home is adjacent to a provincial park with lots of hiking paths and great views. We went to Saint John and St. Andrews several times and both were easy to get to. We all agreed that it was a good location since the rental was about halfway between the two towns (about 30 minutes to each location). Shawnee was a great host to work with. From the time we started inquiring about the house to the time we we had to leave she communicated regularly with us about the area and things to do. She even sent a few pictures of the beach and what you could find on walks! She highly recommended making reservations well in advance for dinner at the Rossmount Inn in St. Andrews. Anyone visiting the area needs to visit there-- a wonderful meal with great service. Overall, our visit to New Brunswick was great and working with the owners couldn't have been better.
