My husband and I stayed at this apartment last summer and could not wait to make it part of our vacation again this year. Stephen and Glenn are wonderful hosts who have put a great deal of thought and care into their property. The apartment is tastefully decorated, clean and extremely comfortable. The garden and the river view are icing on the cake. Those who enjoy hiking will find lots of great trails close by and the galleries, shops and museums of St. Andrews are only a short drive away. We cannot recommend this place more highly.

                          Great vacation experience

                          5 of 5
This was a great place to stay and I can’t really think of anything to make it better. The home was very comfortable for two couple and offered a lot of privacy. The living room, kitchen (very well equipped), and dining area were very spacious and comfortable with great views of the Bay of Fundy. The master bedroom is on the main floor as well as a half bath. The downstairs is a bright walk out basement, two comfortable bedrooms, a sitting room, full bathroom and laundry area. There were plenty of towels and pillows. The location is remote and quiet but easy to get to. So this is not the rental for you if you are looking for a wild time! However, we were looking for a quiet and peaceful vacation home and we were not disappointed! If you like hiking, nature, and quiet beach walking you will love this home. On the property you have a short walk through a small wooded area to get to the stairs that lead to the essentially private beach. The home is adjacent to a provincial park with lots of hiking paths and great views. We went to Saint John and St. Andrews several times and both were easy to get to. We all agreed that it was a good location since the rental was about halfway between the two towns (about 30 minutes to each location). Shawnee was a great host to work with. From the time we started inquiring about the house to the time we we had to leave she communicated regularly with us about the area and things to do. She even sent a few pictures of the beach and what you could find on walks! She highly recommended making reservations well in advance for dinner at the Rossmount Inn in St. Andrews. Anyone visiting the area needs to visit there-- a wonderful meal with great service. Overall, our visit to New Brunswick was great and working with the owners couldn't have been better.

                          Spectacular Location

                          5 of 5
We had a fabulous week here in June 2016. Upon arrival we quickly realized that the location was actually more spectacular in person than can be captured in photographs. The sounds of the crashing waves at high tide were mesmerizing. And speaking of tides, for first time visitors to the Bay of Fundy, seeing the 20 foot plus swings from low to high tide was a wonder. The house itself was exceptional. First, it was extremely clean and well stocked with towels and paper products. Second, except for the bathrooms, all rooms have a great view of the water. And as others have mentioned, the sounds of waves at night made for restful sleeping. Third, the lack of television and internet access was, for us, a bonus. This was the ultimate place to enjoy being unplugged. The location, midway between St. Andrews and Saint John, was a bonus when it was time for excursions. And we spent a super day traveling to Grand Manan Island via the ferry located only 20 minutes from the house. Also, we traveled to the house from the States via the new Portland, ME to Yarmouth, NS ferry and then on New Brunswick and the house via the Digby, NS to Saint John ferry. The car ferries were fun, fast, scenic, and added to the adventure. We'll certainly travel on the ferries again. Everything about staying at this house exceeded our expectations -- and our expectations were high. In all likelihood, we'll be back. Thanks Doug!
