                        Nice, quiet, wonderful get away!

                        5 of 5
You cannot go wrong with choosing to stay on Long Lake in this cozy, well maintained cabin. The rental comes with everything you might need for a relaxing stay. The views of the island are the best, especially with the sunset in the background. If you are longing for a peaceful evening a campfire at dusk listening to the loons is a must. Take the kayak out watch the turtles bask in the morning sun. All and all one of the best vacations spots around.

Lake Avalon - Michigan's Best Kept Secret

                        5 of 5
Thanks to our dear friends, Dena & Mark, we have had the repeated pleasure of staying at their beautiful beach house on Lake Avalon. Pictures do not do this house and lake justice. You MUST experience this place in person. The house strikes the perfect balance of beach decor, cleanliness and at-home feel. Newly remodeled, yet not over done, makes this an ideal vacation lake home for families. We eat most every meal on the deck to take full advantage lake views and the remote location of Hillman, MI. allows us to skip the crowds, enjoy quiet evenings, and produces jaw-dropping views of countless stars at night from the dock. Yet the true secret of this home is the quality of the water (lake) it sits on. Think Bahamas...but better! My self-proclaimed lake-snob friend, who grew up on lakes all over northern Michigan, could not get over the clarity, cleanliness and warmth of the Lake Avalon the first time he visited. The second time he visited (yes you'll want to return too) he bought a Go-Pro to get underwater shots/video. The combination of incomparable water, uncrowded all-sports lake, wonderful cottage home and great owners makes this the only choice in NE Michigan. Enjoy! We plan to be back as well.

                        Clean, quiet, well stocked

Scott's place is as advertised. Cottage had everything we needed and was spotless. It was a great location for my friends and family who joined me in a once in a lifetime Michigan Elk hunt. Thanks Scott for a memorable experience that your cottage played a big part in.
