My sister and I went camping a lot in beautiful nature settings as children, coastal Maine being one of those settings, and coming here to Cape Split was just like that--
Except it had the additional bonus of an unbelievably gorgeous and comfy-cozy house instead of a tent with difficult bathroom facilities! : )
This is the most wonderful property I have ever stayed at, and that's even above a house in Hawaii on a mountain with ocean views, close jungle all around with fruit- and flower-trees, lizards and tropical birds galore.
If you love nature, seclusion, and extremely gorgeous architecture, this is the place for you.
Highly recommended if you have young children who haven't yet become permanently bent over their devices, so that they get a chance to experience the larger world, or even as a break from that for older kids (though there is plenty of Wi Fi).
There are so many seemingly enchanted nooks and crannies inside and out, it's a wonder I never encountered a forest sprite--although I did see a huge shooting star from the back deck and made a wish--which came true!
