We stayed in March this year in Yuuki Toride and it was amazing.
Communication with John and then Melissa was easy and prompt, we were able to organise everything for the holiday with Niseko Boutiques before we arrived. It was much easier than we were expecting being our first time to holiday in a ski resort in Japan.
The house itself is just like the pictures, light and airy, lots of space and very modern. There is a garage with remote controlled door, 4 boot heaters in the boot/ski cupboard, a wax bench which my husband made good use of plus some shovels and large scoopy thing that the kids used to try and make a toboggan path across the road.
The first floor is all living space with the kitchen well equipped for cooking in and there enough seats on the 2 sofas plus bean bag. On days when the sun comes out, and there were plenty for our stay, the view of Mt Yotei is always welcome, particularly at breakfast so we knew what to expect of the weather.
The top floor is all bedrooms and bathrooms.
Our stay was very much as we expected. We were told by John about the services for the stay and we actually booked this property over others in the village because of them. We had a fridge full of groceries that we ordered through Niseko Gourmet waiting for us when we arrived mid afternoon and Melissa took us through the house, showed us the information book, wifi password TV etc and explained the processes for our stay. Their staff came to the house each morning to pick us up and take us to the Ski School and then did the same in the afternoon to bring us all home. Whilst we were out skiing, their staff cleaned the house for us too.
I really can't say enough good things about our experience in Niseko. We were told it was a bad season but it was more than we had ever seen in New Zealand before and we were totally sold on Niseko.
We will be back for sure. Thank you once again to John and his team for making our stay so memorable
