          Quaint and comfortable

          5 of 5
The flat was very comfortable and cute with unexpected art and furnishings, and roomy enough for four adults. The en-suite bath was a little tight (still OK), but the main bath absolutely spacious and gorgeous with room to spread out and hands down the best shower during our travels across Ireland. Everything was clean, extra linens and towels were available and the owner provided an additional bed and rearranged things for us to accommodate our stay. The owner is wonderful and just based on my discussions with her, I would encourage you to take this space. When we arrived the parking system was temporarily down so we were unable to confirm our parking spot. The owner was quick to respond and help settle things, and followed up later. We stayed at several VRBO properties and this rated a 5th star because of her fast and friendly support. Now things to look out for. First, location. Close enough to town to walk, but be careful after dark. The surrounding climate was not as comfortable but we had no problems booking a taxi and the property is very secure. Don't be deterred by my comment, just be careful if you are walking around at night. Second, one side of the flat faces the courtyard, the other faces the train - which can be loud if you're not used to it. Third, it's a little tricky leaving the flat because you have keys to exit the flat, use the elevator, and exit the property. Luckily there were enough of us to hold doors and return keys in the flat, so if you are a single traveler you may wish to make special exit accommodations. Lastly, if you find yourself here please water the plants on the terrace. They need a little attention and you'll enjoy the task. We took advice from another review and visited Howth - great opportunity for lunch and scenic drive along the coast, well recommended!
