I came from Ottumwa with my daughter who was home from college and my father in law from Sarasota and sister in law from Australia. My son lives in Ankeny and has a 6 month old son so this was the perfect place for us to stay for a visit. There were three bedrooms with comfortable beds, a master bath and another full bath in the hallway, a half bath downstairs. There was a large dining area for dinners and board games, one day of rain while we were there! We also had plenty of room to sit in the family room with access to cable and free Wi-if. We stayed 4 nights and while there were a few minor things to fix such as the ceiling fan in the master bedroom didn't work and the gas grill needs a few burners replaced, we loved the home. The home in Ankeny was a lovely Victorian that was close to the Trestle Trail and Old downtown Ankeny which is filled with charming stores and antiques. There are some restaurants nearby but we were quite content staying in and preparing dinner in the modern kitchen and using the gas grill provided for us on the patio. We wanted a home where as a family we could all be together to share meals and spend time together in a comfortable setting. This was perfect, much more convenient than a hotel. There was also a large hot tub available to use but unfortunately we had a week of excessive heat and we were unable to use it ! The central air was a blessing ! Lovely place I would recommend it and the owners were very helpful and responded quickly to my questions, they even mailed a charger that was left behind !
