The experience at Royal Arcadia Hacienda was amazingly great. We had a family reunion of 28 people, ranging in age from 15 months to 80 years old, it rained all weekend, and the property is so spread out and so comfortable that everyone had a great time. People visiting Phoenix from all over the country: NY City, Cleveland, Austin, Seattle, Minneapolis, Boulder, LA, and Atlanta. They are all world travellers, and every one of them was impressed with the quality, size, and accommodations of the property. We truly had our own private resort.
In spite of the rain and cold weather, the 8 children and some adults swam in the 60' heated pool. The main house has a huge fireplace, large main room with comfortable furniture, and a large dining table that seat we had 20 adults around. There are small rooms off the main room where small groups can gather. Every family unit had its own apartment. The furnishings are unique and luxurious. There are an abundance of plates and glasses and cups and utensils. If it hadn't rained every day all weekend, the numerous patios and courtyards would have been perfect everyone's use. As it turns out, the little kids still had a lot of room to run around. Because of the solid nature of the buildings, their noises didn't carry.
The hacienda is conveniently located within walking distance of restaurants and within 1/2 mile of grocery and shopping. Costco is a short drive. We stocked the house from Costco.
Finally, the ambiance of the property excudes old Phoenix culture. It couldn't have been more ideal.
