                      Loved the House!

                      4 of 5
We wanted to stay in the area to go to Itchetucknee Springs. It was about a half hour drive through the country, and was a nice drive. I loved the house. It is old. It has character. It was comfortable. The rug in one of the bedrooms probably needs upgrading but other than that it was clean. The owner, Roc, was very helpful and responded quickly to my requests. I LOVED the front porch, but would suggest you bring some portable chairs if you have more than two people. I had brought my own coffee, but the coffee machine is easy to use. There's a one-eyed black donkey penned up as you drove in. The only thing alive in the house was a skink, and I have no doubt we let him in ourselves. He was sent back out to nature. My favorite, besides the porch, was an owl that was out back on the ground hunting. He was beautiful. As far as the town goes, it was so so. I was glad they had Publix. Couldn't find any decent restaurants in town. We also visited Falmouth Springs, Blue Springs State Park and Suwannee River State Park. Not too far of a drive. I will definitely be back next year.
