Just up the road you will find Dania Beach. This small town has many quaint shops and restaurants and the waterfront has a fishing pier open to the public so you can walk out onto the water.
South Beach, Miami:The South Beach club scene is world famous for its party culture. It is a quick drive down I-95 from Hollywood to Miami, where you can party from dusk to dawn.
Downtown Hollywood: Visit downtown Hollywood at night and you will hear the distinctive Latino islander beat. It is home to many people from the Caribbean islands, and the clubs along Hollywood Boulevard often pound out bachata, meringue, and other island hits. Within minutes you will be feeling yourself swept away into the tropics.
Young Circle: Stay tuned during your visit for Friday night fun at Young Circle in downtown Hollywood. On select nights ArtsPark at Young Circle features live music and food trucks where you can mingle with the locals and have a great time.
Boardwalk Dining: With thirty different seaside restaurants to pick from, you can sample a little bit of everything during your vacation at Hollywood Beach. You can choose from grilled or fried seafood fresh from the Atlantic, authentic Caribbean dishes, tacos and more. There are also many small, locally owned bars with daily drink specials that you can pick between to discover new favorites.
When the winter snows and freezing winds batter the north, you can enjoy warm sunshine, ocean breezes and t-shirt weather in south Florida. Wintertime temps tend to be a comfortable 70-80 degrees, with a light wind off the ocean. Peak tourist season here is in the early to late spring, when colleges celebrate their Spring Break and travelers all across the country flock to Florida for a taste of summer. The hottest months of the year are July and August, when temperatures easily climb to 90 degrees Fahrenheit and above, so if you plan on going to Hollywood Beach during those months plan on bringing a swimsuit and spending lots of time in the water.
Private/Rental Car: Hollywood Beach is located just east of Florida's A1A Highway. Major highways, such as I-95 and the Florida Turnpike, lead into Hollywood. From there, you travel east on Hollywood Blvd to A1A/Ocean Blvd.
From Ft. Lauderdale Airport: take I-595 eastbound to US 1. Follow US 1 south to Hollywood Blvd eastbound to A1A.
TriRail: The TriRail train service has a station in downtown Hollywood Florida. Taxis and bus service run from the station to Hollywood Beach.
By Sea: Port Everglades is approximately ten miles north of Hollywood Beach. Many cruise lines dock at the port and taxis are available to take you to your destination.
