                              Beautiful!

This house is nicely decorated, comfortable and well-equipped and enjoys spectacular views of both the Prime Hook reserve and the Delaware Bay. The bay-side screened porch is great! A direct path from the house brings you to a lovely beach that is great for long walks (often all alone). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We also appreciated the owner's flexibility allowing us to stay an extra day. The location is remote and very peaceful but within easy driving distance to Milford for groceries etc. as well as to the ocean beaches (and dining/shopping) in Lewes and Rehoboth. I highly recommend this property.

                              Awesome Rental

First time using VRBO, and what a pleasant experience. Renter was great! He kept us updated with information (such as parking passes needed to get to the house). The house was clean, homey, and very user friendly for our group. There was even baked poppy seed bread to welcome us to the home. Towels, linens, kitchen supplies, grilling access all included. There was a washer/dryer for when we got muddy at Firefly. Great location for events such as Firefly, NASCAR. My nephew also enjoyed the small woods next door to catch frogs! I would recommend this property to any large group who wants a great experience using VRBO.

Perfectly Quiet Retreat Away from the Beach Crowds

                              4 of 5
My husband and I stayed there with our friends and our dogs over the 4th of July holiday. The pictures do not do justice to how close you actually are to the beach. The house was clean, comfortable, spacious, and nice and quiet. The owner was very nice and accomodating, and she made sure that our every need was taken care of. There are indeed a lot of birds that congregate in the area, and we loved being so close to nature. The beach was great - we walked our dog up and down it constantly, and he had a great time. The other great thing about this home is that you can easily drive 30-45 minutes to go to the other more "touristy" beaches (e.g., Dewey) and hang out at the popular thoroughfares and restaurants. But, you do not have to deal with the crowds and the noise after you're done with them. We were not able to bring our dog to the touristy beaches, but we were perfectly happy with him at our temporary home while we explored for a few hours. It is not a traditional beach house because the water is not "swimable" behind it. When we watched the tides, we could see that the water was really shallow, and the sand got really muddy. It felt more like quicksand when it was wet. The tide goes out really far, and we saw a small child walk nearly 150 yards to retrieve a crab trap that he had set up. So if you are into crabbing, its great, but not if you want to swim.
