Our family of four (2 adults and 2 teenagers, 14 and 17) absolutely loved the accommodations and the location. It's a little hard to find, but thanks to Tomas and his assistance on the cell phone as he gave us "play by play" directions, we made it! We were fully immersed into the local culture in the village of El Castillo. Views of the volcano and the surrounding countryside are awesome, especially from the rooftop deck. The lower unit in which we stayed was clean and fully furnished with all the necessities, including wi-fi! Tomas and Hannah were extremely helpful in providing breakfast (for a small fee) at their local store and helping us plan our stay. Their suggestions of kayaking on Lake Arenal, zip lining, and dinner at Fusion Grill & Restaurant were "spot on". There are many activities all within short driving distance and even walking distance. The Butterfly Conservatory and horseback riding are two that we will walk to and check out the next time we visit. We found the setting to be quiet and peaceful........you won't be disappointed!
