Winters can be frigid, with snowfall common and freezing weather conditions almost every day. There is a low level of humidity, however, that makes the weather rather enjoyable most months of the year.

If you are planning to travel into Cripple Creek for a fun-filled yet relaxing vacation, plan to enjoy a scenic drive as you make your way through the foothills to reach the town. Many will take a bus or a plane into the Colorado Springs area, or you can drive your own car.
