For Fun in the Sun, Nowhere Rocks Like Caribbean Condos

There is no other place in the entire world quite like the magical Caribbean. With to-die- for beaches, unique culture, one of a kind attractions and activities, near-perfect weather all year long, and don't forget the world's best rum, the Caribbean Islands are a joyous passage of sights, sound, and color. All this and they provide you with the ultimate escape from your drab reality and day to day boring routine. One stop in a Caribbean all-inclusive hotel or condo and you will never want to come home again.

Snorkeling the Caribbean

One of the world's great snorkeling playgrounds is all throughout the Caribbean Sea and islands. In fact, the world's second and third largest coral reefs are found off the Caribbean coasts of Belize and Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos Islands. Grand Turk's reef is actually a fully protected marine park. While many of the world's coral reefs are in terrible danger and documented decline, those of Grand Turk have actually improved substantially since the 1990's. You will see numerous kinds and colors of tropical fish and healthy living coral in these pristine aquamarine waters. If diving is more your speed than snorkeling, Grand Turk also boasts a reputation as among the top diving destinations in the Caribbean and possibly on the planet as well.

Best Diving in the Caribbean

The very best diving in the Caribbean is to be found almost in the center of this world-renowned sea, off of the Cayman Islands. These three islands, Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac, and Little Cayman provide three distinct unique diving habitats and over 360 different sites, enough to keep diving enthusiasts busy and happy for every day of the whole year. This triumvirate of sites offers dramatic drops-offs, stingrays in plenty, and some fantastic pirate shipwreck dives in this British Overseas Caribbean Territory. The reefs here too are another fantastic success story for improving environments in the world.

World Class Beaches

Once you have finished being overwhelmed by both the color and clarity of the mesmerizing Caribbean blue waters, their powdery white sandy beaches are likely the second biggest draw and dream in the Caribbean. When you think Caribbean, think beautiful best in the world beaches. This is no idle exaggeration, of the various lists of the world's top ten best beaches in the globe, several in the Caribbean top the lists every single time.

There are sultry beaches in Jamaica, lost in time and place beaches littering the Bahamas, simply perfect beaches of Grand Cayman, and the untarnished beaches of the Grenadines, junior partner of St. Vincent, all just waiting for your arrival. You might expect that this many islands and island groups would offer a few good beaches, but this is surely an understatement if ever there was one; in fact practically every island boasts at least one best-in-class beach somewhere on it. Between stunning beaches like Magens Bay on St. Thomas, rocky island coastlines, unique cultures like in European St. Martin/Saint Maarten, and vibrant food flavors and tantalizing waves, you may find yourself a permanent resident on one of these unspoiled island gems and forget everything you used to love about back home.

Historic Monuments and Attractions

Nelson's Dockyard on Antigua

Little Antigua and Barbuda, the tiny two island nation in the Eastern Caribbean, boasts a world class and unique in the region attraction known as Nelson's Dockyard in English Harbour. The Georgian-Age British Naval marina was opened in 1745 and has since been massively and painstakingly restored to become the biggest sightseeing draw in all of Antigua and Barbuda. After being abandoned by the British in 1889, this former Caribbean headquarters of the Eastern Caribbean for the Royal Navy found new life as first a Dockyard Museum in the old stone and brick naval officers' residences and then as a renovated and restored complex of forts and the dockyard. The collection is vast and impressive from the British Imperial Naval era, including a special telescope that the great and mighty hero Admiral Nelson even utilized himself in his time as commanding naval officer of this special naval installation and place. Visit their website at www.nationalparksantigua.com.

Caribbean Weather

Any time of the year is the best time to visit the Caribbean, thanks to its nearly perfect, warm and consistent daytime and nighttime highs that range from 78 to 87 average daily temps in June and from 72 to 82 average daily temps in January. Different parts of the islands have slight variations in temperatures and rainfall, but they all have in common the year-long beauty of the climate. Rainfall totals tell you that the summer might be a less perfect time to visit though, with the region receiving an average rain total of 5.4 inches of rain in June while only 2.8 inches of rain fall in January. In fact, June-October is the region's dreaded hurricane season, when the only natural disaster of any note plagues the entire middle and northern Caribbean sea areas and islands. But for these acts of God, the weather would likely be ideal practically every day of the year. This is why the Southern Caribbean (where Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, and Trinidad and Tobago islands lie) is far more arid and suffers from almost no risk of inclement weather or hurricanes.

How to Get to the Caribbean

Miami is without a doubt the unquestioned world transportation center of direct non-stop flights to most anywhere in the Caribbean. Proof of this lies in the fact that Miami International Airport offers over 21 destinations throughout the Caribbean that boast direct, non-stop, and even cheap flights. Among these world-class Caribbean destinations that you can reach from Miami are Trinidad, Antigua, St. Kitts, St. Martin, St. Thomas, Curacao, Bermuda, Puerto Rico, and Dominican Republic, to name just a few.

Besides many direct flights to various island destinations in the Caribbean that are offered, luxury cruises depart all fall and winter from Miami and Ft. Lauderdale cruise ports to the Eastern, Western, and even Southern Caribbean islands and regions. For little more than the price of only airfare, you can enjoy an all-inclusive cruise which includes all meals, snacks, and drinks, transportation, and accommodation for from 3 nights to 7 nights. This is the best deal going in this region of wonder and enchantment.

Rental cars on the various Caribbean Islands are widely available and include such well-known American company names as Hertz, Budget, and Avis.

PR MARINA PROPERTY

5 of 5
We loved staying at Olivia's. The location was wonderful. There was very inexpensive parking next to her building so we could rent and park our car. The apt was lovely as well has having great breezes and amazingly low city noise. We LOVE LOVE LOVE San Juan & PR in general. Olivia's easy in and and out access let us walk on the days we did not feel like driving & drive out of town easily when we wanted to go to other parts of the island. There is work to be done in PR- so bring your tourist $$ & a helping hand! PR remains an annual vacation must for our family.

Relaxing and convenient to the beaches

The villa fit our needs perfectly. The kitchen was pretty well stocked. The beach chairs and cooler made going to the beach easy. Can't wait to go back.
