                                          Cute, comfortable, and convenient

                                          4 of 5
General: Great location. We used buses exclusively, and never had to wait long. Bus stop is right outside the door, to go in any direction. The apartment was very clean and new-feeling. We felt very comfortable and secluded there. It is a really wonderful place for a couple to stay. I suppose it would even hold a third on the couch, but there's not really any privacy then. The bathroom is good-sized, especially for a small place, and nicely done. The kitchen was mostly fine, with a few eccentricities. Kitchen: A full kitchen really should have a sharp knife. How do you cut bell peppers or onions here? Well, you use your pocket knife, evidently. Butter knives are all they have. Glassware was also weird. There were lots of coffee mugs, but no drinking glasses. There were a few plastic wine glasses that we ended up using to drink water from. These days (and especially for a vacation home), a kitchen really should have a microwave, too. Also, there were no kitchen linens - no towels OR washcloths. There was a sponge, but it was moldy and stank as soon as it was wet. We ended up using bath towels for the kitchen - there were plenty of those. Bathroom: We thought it was haunted! The light goes off if you spend too long in there, and sometimes went on and off randomly throughout the night. It is huge and comfortable. Plenty of linens. Nice big shower. I would suggest changing the shower head to a non-exfoliating model! Seriously, it is painful on certain body parts. There is no tub, so you couldn't stay here with small children very well. It's too small, anyway. Entrance: This needs immediate attention. The key is in a lockbox, but not illuminated. There was just enough ambient light to find it, and there is a little LED light on the door, but it didn't work. We were out there several minutes in the dark, trying to get the box open. Then you enter through a long creepy (in the dark) tunnel between two buildings that is also not lighted. Well, it is, by a motion light, which chose not to work that first night. It also only works from the street end, so if you LEAVE in the dark, you're out of luck. Once we saw the area in daylight, it didn't feel so scary, but that first night we were ready to get out and find a Motel 6. Privacy: You can see right in, through the curtains, if you have ANY lights on inside! We left the outside light on all week to counteract this and to provide light coming and going. We would definitely stay here again. Good place!
