            Beautiful View of Fall River!

            4 of 5
Our paddling club, based in Sacramento, was making our third trip to Fall Fiver. Five of us shared this home and found the view breathtaking, especially from the large deck off the kitchen. There are two bedrooms (king and Queen) on the main floor, when you walk in the front door. The bathroom with the tub/shower combination is also on this floor, along with the living room and kitchen. The kitchen is on the small size, so if you have a large group it would be tight to all be in there at once. The other two bedrooms are downstairs in what appears to be a basement with access to the outside as well. There is one Queen (I slept here on a very firm mattress) and one Twin, both sharing another bathroom. This bathroom is a little small and only has a shower. There is a very large water tank (perhaps to circulate water from the well?) that is very loud when it kicks on. This seemed to happen when toilets were flushed and when people took showers. If you're a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. The house is very rustic and not too modern, but fully functional and stocked with all the basics you'll need. There is access to launch a kayak right off the bank of the property. Fall River is absolutely gorgeous to paddle on. There are places to eat about 15 minutes away in Fall River Mills, or another 7 minutes to McAurthur. If you plan to paddle Ahjumawi Lava Springs, you're about 20-25 minutes away. I would stay here again.
