                      Lovely

                      5 of 5
We stayed in the cottage for a few nights. Since it was just the two of us (age mid 60's mid 70's), we did not use the attached sleeping cottage but it looked to be very nice if you need more sleeping area. The cottage grounds are beautiful and well kept. There are garden treasures to be discovered around every corner and in the nooks and crannies about the property. The cottage and kitchen had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Hosts were very pleasant and accommodating, property is clean and well maintained. The view from the outdoor sitting area and the kitchen table provided a nice view of the inlet. The cottage is at the end of the street and is private and quiet. The owners are artistic and there are several 'artsy' details in the house as well as various collectibles on display (maybe not good if you have small children.) Every time I sat down I would spy something else that I needed to get back up and explore. The hosts provide lots of books and music to enjoy. The Alaska Native Heritage Center is close by and was well worth the visit--take the guided tour and plan on spending several hours at the center. Visitors from Beaufort, NC

                      Great views

Nice home with great views of the mountains. The home was plenty big for the 6 adults that stayed. While there, we experienced water pressure issues in the master bath shower, kitchen faucet & 1/2 bath faucet which meant 6 adults sharing 1 shower which was a bit inconvenient. The family was very apologetic & although they were not able to fix the issue while we were there they were quick to respond when we let them know of the issues. Apart from that the home was comfortable & conveniently located to all the day trips we took.

                      Very comfortable, lots of space

Very comfortable and clean. Great amount of space for the cost. Lots of room to spread out. Only complaint was the distance to anchorage. It is about 40 minutes to downtown and 50min to 1 hour to airport, depending on traffic, much longer than the 15 minutes advertised.
