This property is a new build with a rustic "Alaskan" feel. Huge windows let in lots of light and curtains/blinds will keep it out if you want to sleep. The wood pillars, beams and walls add to a warm feeling you get when you stay here. This is not a "cookie cutter" rental that you could find in any other state. All the kitchen necessities for a comfortable stay are included such as cutlery and a wine opener. Since I was there in winter, I really enjoyed using the wood burning stove. This along with the floor heating kept the cabin comfortable even when the temperature dipped in the night.
The cabin location was what I was looking for. Isolated on a quiet side road, yet with easy access to the highway to Palmer and ANC. There are other houses visible from the cabin but this is a very quiet neighborhood. Palmer is just 10-15mins away for supermarkets, post office, bank, dining, gas, and a small night life. Palmer Ale House is my favorite for pizza and burgers with beer. There is even a nice playground for kids in town. People in Palmer were very friendly too
Kay was a pleasure to connect with in arranging for this stay. All emails were immediately answered. We really enjoyed our stay there.
