I have never posted a review of a VRBO property before but this one is so amazing I wanted to share a few highlights. Huckleberry Haven is set on a private wooded lot overlooking a pond. We wanted to have the convenience of nearby towns while feeling like we were in the middle of nowhere at the end of the day, and that's what we got! Fort Payne and Mentone are wonderful towns, especially for people who like the outdoors. The waterfalls and hiking at DeSoto State Park were a relaxing treat for us and our dog. Gadsden and Huntsville were great towns for shopping, eating, and even watching a performance at the local theatre. Even though we stayed 6 nights there was still plenty we didn't get to do. We have heard great things about Tigers For Tomorrow in nearby Attalla so we can't wait to visit them next time. Huckleberry Haven is just that, a haven. The decor in the home is the prettiest we have seen yet and we travel a lot! As most travelers know, the property owner you deal with can make all the difference in the world. Barbara is the owner of Huckleberry Haven and she bent over backwards to make sure we, along with our dog, were happy and comfortable during our stay. Barbara, thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We can't wait to come back!
