My family and I have been vacationing in the Poconos for the past 15 years. June, 2012 we purchased our first vacation rental property, which we named Paw Prints in the Poconos. We were blessed with wonderful renters in 2012, 2013 and 2014; who have taken great care of our property. We look forward to our renters returning in 2015 and having new renters vacation at Paw Prints in the Poconos in 2015. After years of vacationing in the Poconos, here are some questions to ask, when renting a vacation property in the Poconos. 1. How close is the property to shopping, ski resorts, grocery store, water parks, etc. 2. What does the community offer? Many of the communities do not have a pool and there are few counties which have a public swimming pool. 3. When driving to the beach, how many parking spaces does the beach offer? I know of one beach that offers approximately 10 parkings spaces for over 100 homes. Hoping these questions help you find the perfect rental property in the Poconos. Blessings
Jill Myers purchased this house in 2012
Paw Prints in the Poconos is pet friendly rental property. We take pride in offering a clean, comfortable vacation home. I have included a few excerpts taken from our guestbook by some of our many renters: We have stayed in other places in the Poconos, this was by far, the cleanest and well maintained home. Carol & Denny - Everytime I come to this house, I fall in love with it even more!!! Stef, Pete & Sushi - This was the cleanest home we have ever rented! Peter - Your house is just lovely and your choice of décor is fabulous. I was amazed at how well your kitchen is equipped. Barbara

Paw Prints in the Poconos has an air conditioning unit in the loft, which keeps the entire house cool during the summer months. Plus Free WiFi and Roku with Netflix. The house and surrounding neighborhood were lovely. Jill has thought of everything for the kitchen, dining room, and entertainment. Well done with those. She also let us check out a little later, which later proved necessary. My criticisms might seem petty but they were irritating, so here goes: Too many extra costs like parking pass that I did not expect. I could not sleep well either night because of the waterproof lining on the mattress cover. Just gross and sweaty even though the room was cool so I'd urge Jill to explore alternatives. The living room needs better reading lamps, set higher so that you can curl up with a good book and not have to strain your eyes. Finally, we paid a cleaning fee yet we were required to clean up in detail before check out or risk losing our security deposit. That took us several hours because we had to wash blankets and dishes. I will be more careful next time I rent a place.
Overall, we loved the house and the community (Arrowhead). When we got to the house, everything was prepared to be comfortable for all of us. Arrowhead lake itself was organized so well because they had everything highlighted and ready for us. The owner left some directions for what to do when we got to the house and what we had to do when we left. At the end of our stay, we didn't get our whole security deposit back because she claimed two things that we did not do. However, there were no specific directions given. In addition, she said that her coffee table leg was burned; when we asked which coffee table (we didn't move too much furniture around), she did not respond to our email. We aren't saying that there's no way that it happened; we just would have preferred some communication about it.
We are excited to book a rental again next year in Arrowhead Lake; however, we will be choosing another house (mainly because we want to include more people).
The most stress free and comfortable experience. Jill is welcoming from start to finish. The home is exactly as described. Everything one could need is provided to make your stay wonderful and the beds are to die for!! Without doubt, this will be our first choice when returning to the area. Thank you Jill for making our getaway one to remember :)
Our stay at Pawprints Poconos was absolutely Perfect! The home is very clean and cozy, and well taken care of. It has absolutely everything you need. The beds and pillows were comfy. Our family enjoyed the extra blankets (so cozy) in the living room by the fire. We spent our evenings there enjoying Netflix. The kitchen was well stocked with any cookware that you would need. The house is in a nice quiet community surrounded by beautiful foliage. Jill was very friendly and helpful. She had wonderful customer service, and was very attentive and considerate in answering my many questions. Also, dog friendly. Our pooch was happy to join us on vacation! I would definitely recommend this place. Thanks again for an amazing stay! Can't wait to come again!
