The house was clean and beautiful. Biggest suggestion would be for a hand rail in the pool.
There were 8 people staying at the house so having 4.5 baths and 4 bedrooms was a real plus. We had plenty of room in the dining room to eat together and to work in the kitchen. We used the pool each day and walked on the beach often. We were about 20 minutes from Charleston sightseeing activities. Charleston activities we recommend: Alleys and Hidden Passages walking tour, a horse drawn carriage tour, the market, the Old Slave Mart museum, the USS Yorktown, the Citadel, Ft. Sumter and Ft. Moultrie. Slightly North of Broad and the Gospel Choir at Hall's Chophouse on Sunday are culinary and service delights. There is plenty to do, many wonderful restaurants and bars, and plenty of room for rest.
The home is absolutely lovely, clean and welcoming. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach. The pool is beautiful!. The home is beautifully decorated, and provided a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere for our family vacation.
The location, pool and the layout of the house was perfect for our family and we very much enjoyed our time here. However, the house is in definite need of some sprucing up. The dishwasher was broken (wouldn't turn off and the door was sprung), there was mold on the ceiling of the downstairs half bath as well as one of the bedrooms, the deck had some boards that were lifting and it was a potential hazard, the toaster had to be replaced while we were there, the Wi-Fi went down several times and needed to have service call 2xs, the trash compactor was missing and a poor substitute of a trash can replaced it (the can was not the problem it was shoved into the empty space and it didn't work easily there).
We have stayed at many properties of equal size in both Isle of Palms and Wild Dunes and when you spend the kind of money that a house this size demands you want all of the above taken care of. We would definitely go back if we knew that the house received the attention that it requires as it is truly lovely and we really enjoyed the location.
This was beautiful home with everything we needed for our family of 10. This was our first family vacation ever. With the 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths, the pool and the easy one block walk to the beach--it had everything we needed
My family has been vacationing in Hilton Head and the OBX since our children were small. Lots of great memories. But our children are grown and grandchildren have arrived and we wanted to try a new spot. The Isle of Palms was our choice and this house was great. Seven adults and three children. Close to the beach, great pool and things to do in Charleston. House met all our needs and then some. Porches were great and between two quiet streets. We will be back and hopefully to this house.
Overall the property was very nice. We had 3 families there along with small children. Everyone had enough space to do what they needed. The bedroom layout worked perfectly for our group. The bedrooms were each like a suite, with a big private bathroom and large bedroom. The common areas were spacious and comfortable. Big dining room allowed all of us to eat together. The pool on the property was great. The beach was only a short walk away. The location was close to Sullivan's island and Charleston (great restaurants and things to do)
