Berkeley Hills Apartment Rental Photos and Description

Two bedroom private entrance apartment six blocks from campus

The apartment is nestled in a redwood grove bordering Codonices Park. It comes with its own parking space. The Greek Theater and Memorial Stadium is a mile and a half down the hill (half hour walk, 7 minute drive). You can amble across the street to the Berkeley Rose Garden in the time it takes to recite a short poem. The area inspired legendary architects like Bernard Maybeck and Julia Morgan and their work graces the landscape. Alfred Peet and Alice Waters launched the culinary renaissance a fifteen minute stroll from your front door. The surrounding park abounds with redwoods, live oaks, dogwood and plum trees. There are basketball and tennis courts, the delightful landmark concrete slide and modern play structures. The famed network of Berkeley walking paths radiates from the area and will delight a dedicated hiker or recreational rambler. It is simply a wonderful location; within easy reach of the finest restaurants, the UC campus and a bustling downtown and yet cushioned in an abundance of nature. It’s a soft landing for a traveler and we will welcome you warmly.

You can enter the place from the street or the parking lot around the back. Behind the front gate is a cozy secluded patio just right to barbecue and entertain your family and friends. You enter through the front door into a sitting room with a fireplace, couch, chairs a small bar and kitchenette. The main bedroom has a five foot closet, a 40” wall mounted TV and a door that opens to a private space under the redwood canopy. Off the hallway there’s a full bathroom and a sitting/bedroom with a pull-out sofa bed and computer station. The laundry room features modern, front loading washer and dryer and a wall of shelving. Extra linens, blankets and towels are provided.

Ahhhh ...Thank God!

This is a nice clean apartment with a beautiful park behind it. The setting is quiet. The location is perfect. Just half a block to the beautiful Rose Garden Park. I was amazed to find 6 parks within .2 miles from this location. We had picnics every day! As we were there for the end of Sept it was nice and cool at night so the fireplace in the living room was an awesome bit of home. I highly recommend it1

Perfect stay in Berkeley!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at this great little house in the Berkeley Hills! The apartment was exactly as described- clean, updated, and in an excellent location!! The bathroom, bed and linens were very nice. The owner was very helpful and very responsive about questions regarding the area. I stayed with my husband and two boys who loved the playground immediately next door and the hiking trails that started just in the backyard. Having a parking space was so important but we also walked to campus. I'll definitely stay again!

Great Berkeley stay

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for 4 full days prior to Christmas while visiting our son in Berkeley. It was in a beautiful area and very quiet. Off street parking made returning to the rental easy at any time of the day. The home was clean and had everything we needed. We had four adults, but still found it to be roomy and comfortable. We often talked about how we would like to return in the summer months so we could see the nearby rose garden in bloom and explore the trails just behind the property. We needed to touch base with the owner about something and he was very prompt at getting back to us with an answer. We would certainly rent this property again!

great views, great owners

  • 5 of 5

The location is amazing: right next to the rose garden and a huge playground. You can see the Golden Gate bridge pretty much from the doorstep. It's not exactly walking distance from downtown Berkeley (maybe a 20-min walk, and it's quite a bit uphill from the downtown), but the owners provide a bike, and the place is very close to a bus stop. Perfect for running and cycling in Berkeley Hills and Tilden Park. The owners are very friendly and accommodating.

Excellent place and location

  • 5 of 5

This was a wonderful private spot. Super clean and exactly as described. Close to everything in Berkeley and a quick drive to get to the BART & into San Francisco. Excellent restaurants and grocery stores within a 5 minute drive. Great hiking paths right out the backdoor. I would certainly recommend.
