Fantastic home with a view unparalleled by others! Fully equipped, clean and well maintained .

I'm sitting here writing this review wishing, hoping, planning for the next visit. We went in June for graduation from Cal Poly, and we still talk about it.

Your host, Denise is wonderful. Helpful, available, and knowledgeable about the area. We didn't need anything. The house has it all. It's not modern, or fussy. It's welcoming and comfortable. Clean and well appointed. I would recommend this house in a heart beat.

If you are renting this for graduation and you intend to invite large groups of people to party, look elsewhere. This is for families to come together and celebrate, but not with crowds or loudness.

We are trying to figure out what we can go back and celebrate next! Like I said, we are all still talking about it and it's 5 months later!

Jaw dropping views

  • 5 of 5

Two families shared an incredible weekend at this warm and comfortable home. We arrived for Cal Poly Open House and were able to enjoy the jaw dropping panoramic views, amazing weather, montano de oro beach walks with our past, present and future Mustangs. Such an inviting home and great base for the weekend- we hope to stay again.

Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

The location of the house was perfect, with a view of the Pacific and a short drive to rustic towns, vineyards, beaches, and a hot spring! We had 8 people staying and we all fit in the house no problem. It was spacious enough to accommodate all of us rattling around, getting ready to go out and about. We were also just a short drive to a grocery store and a bunch of great restaurants. I really loved the house, it was mid-century modern and was obviously well-loved by the people who lived there. I wouldn't have changed a thing.

Wake up to Breathtaking Views Daily

  • 5 of 5

I cannot say enough about this property. I spent a lovely week with friends for NYE. The house is centrally located, our party of 8 flew and drove from every imaginable location and all get here with ease. Let's start with the accommodations, there are 3 bedrooms in the main house which is decorated with hand drawn comics and Christmas cards, family pictures, notes and scenic photography. The decor is very "lived in" you can tell families come here and enjoy this as much as visitors. This lived in feeling makes it so great for creating a warm atmosphere for your stay. The kitchen is fully functional and probably one of the most well stocked I've ever encountered on a trip. We cooked a majority of our meals and had no problem preparing and serving all of us. Pots, pans, blenders, coffee makers, espresso makers you name it, it's there and the spice cabinet is a homecook's dream. I stayed in the master bedroom, which was spacious enough for a king bed a sitting chair and all of our luggage. This room had giant panoramic views and I awoke to sunrises and coastline every morning of my stay. The house has so much space that we never felt cramped and probably could have easily been a bigger party. There are spaces for meditation and quite time all over the house. With unobstructed views of the Bay, you can go into the glass enclosed veranda to avoid the elements or sit on the edge of the property on the meditation bench and take in the view. There are beautiful views of sunsets to be had from there. On the East side of the house there is a magical deck with a sunken fire pit even with temperatures in the 30s and 40s we spent almost every night around a roaring fire. There's also a gas-fired grill for cooking. Additionally there are 2 bathrooms in the main house, I never had to wait to use the loo! There is also a guest house that sleeps 3 and has a bathroom and kitchenette. While I didn't spent much time in there, those in our party found in more than sufficient.

Location- as I mentioned before the location couldn't be better, about 3 miles or so down the road there is a big state or national park where you can go on hike along the cliffs (my best pics of the trip came from here). We spent several hours taking in the scenery. Day trips to Paso Robles to visit missions and vineyards were common and so easy, there are over 300 vineyards in the area. Even closer is San Luis Obispo. I could go on and on, but will leave something for you to discover at Nokomis!
