Perfect home for group up to 8 people. Located on the waters edge of Lake Buchanan. This home has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. We do not allow extra guest due to our septic system capability. The home features a large family room with a wood burning fireplace and a large fully furnished kitchen. The master bath has a Jacuzzi tub for relaxation after a long day on the lake. There is a deck across the back that attaches to a very long pier that goes out to another 8x8 deck over the water for sunning or fishing. The property sits on 17 acres and offers peace and serenity across the water from a large ranch. For larger parties there is another cabin, The Lone Eagle Lodge , which, when available it can sleeps 6 people and is located next door. There is plenty of room for bringing your own boat or you can rent a boat nearby. We have another pier centrally located, that is attached to a floating boat dock to secure your boat while boarding, fishing, or just taking a break from the water. The waterfront is a gradual slope for ease of swimming from your own private beach. For the golf enthusiast we have a putting green, just bring your own putter. Lots of room for the kids to bring their bikes and be able to ride on blacktop drives in an enclosed area and plenty of space to play.. Pets are welcome with a daily pet fee. The home is basically a handicapped accessible property with single story living and level enter-ways. This is the perfect "get away" for a small group or larger group by taking both properties.

About Sherri Crawford
We bought the property in 1992 and added the guest houses in 2006. I specialize in Waterfront Properties for Sale and Vacation Rentals in the Highland Lakes area.
Sherri Crawford purchased this House in 2006
Why Sherri Crawford chose Buchanan Dam
We live on 19 acres with over 1000 feet of water front on Lake Buchanan. After several years, we built a Guest House for our family to come primarily over the holidays. Now we want to share this unique property surrounded by the Hill Country to others.
What makes this House unique
We live on 19 acres in the Hill Country. With over 1000 feet of shoreline on Lake Buchanan the view is fantastic. At B&R Lodge there is over a 100 foot pier that reaches out into the lake, perfect for relaxing with that morning cup of coffee or winding down with that evening beverage. In the spring, the wild flowers are beautiful and as the summer progresses, the lake activities with swimming, boating and fishing makes this an all around Great Place to visit.

An awesome stay!
This place was one of the best places we have stayed! And we go to the lake ALOT! It's super clean they have everything you need! The people are SO friendly and so kind! There was a place for us to put our boat. There was plenty of room and it was super pretty and really relaxing! I don't have anything bad to say about this place. And I recommending it to all of my family and friends! Thanks so much for the great place and amazing hospitality:)
Relaxing weekend on the Lake
The whole family loved this place, so beautiful and relaxing. My room faced the porch with pier ; the waves lapping the shore was tranquil. We fished mostly but wished we had taken a boat or something to be in the water. The AC works great as it was very hot in July. The wifi is not very strong but it did not bother us. We really did not leave the property much except to go to HEB in Kingsland and mountain biking nearby. Would definitely love to go back.
We look forward to your next visit. Thank you for taking good care of our home.
We looked for a Lake house on Lake Buchanan that would not break the bank and found this one. The people that own the house were very nice and live on the property about 50 yards from the house. We did bring our dogs (schnauzers) because it said it was pet friendly but there really was nowhere for the dogs to play without getting full of sticker burrs or these strange leaves that would stick to their fur and were not easily removed. We even had to go so far as to cut our older dogs hair because of all of the sticker burrs that stuck to here chin while staying in the house. I realize the house is probably not intended for pets per say but just wanting to let people know what they might encounter if you bring pets that are not short hair. The hot water did not work in the master bathroom so we all had to share the smaller tub shower, but that could be fixed, again not a show stopper. Yes, we were told it takes awhile for the water to get hot but after 20 minutes of waiting seemed a bit much, not a fan of wasting water. The house is a bit dated but I could tell it was by the pictures, so that was not a show stopper, so if you are not bringing pets, I would highly recommend to stay at this lake house. Everything is provided for the most part, so all you have to bring is food and personal bathroom items. All in all it was a great stay, I would stay here again, probably without pets.
The last thing we say to our guest as we leave from greeting them is ,"that if there is a problem of any kind please let us know immediately, because we do not want you to be inconvenienced by anything that we can control, even a light bulb". This being said, we were not informed of the problem with the water until they left 3 days later. Also we had 8 guest in the home that left the same day they arrived, and they never voiced a problem with the shower water. We called a plumber and it was a cartridge that failed and he repaired it immediately. This problem could have been avoided if they has done as we requested day one.
As far as being pet friendly, we have had many guest with pets here and everyone else has loved the dogs being able to run freely and play. We have a Yellow Lab that lives on the property. This is a rural country setting not a city dwelling and that is what we advertise. Yes, there will be different types of natural grasses, wildflowers, and weeds throughout the acreage. There is a black top road all around the property where you can walk you dog if you are concerned about it getting its hair messed up.
On top of that we do have a pet policy and there is a pet fee of $25 per day, per pet. I did waive the fee for 1 dog for you because you were Military. However there were 4 dogs in the house. The son decided to bring his 2 dogs, yet no one ever offered to pay for the extra dogs.
I am sorry my property did not suit their needs, but it is what is shown in the pictures. You can see that there are lots of granite out cropping and areas that are natural grasses and wildflowers to the lake area.
Husband comments ... as stated above about being inconvenienced, I personally checked Dan and his wife in ... as leaving I told them that we do not want them inconvenienced about anything. If there is a problem to call, text or come knock on our door. This was not done. As previously mentioned, this is the third time someone has brought dogs to our property and not paid them but others told us and paid for their pets when they arrived. We ARE Dog Friendly. We have had long haired and short haired dogs here with no complaints. This is not a doggie resort, but a place you can bring your pet and enjoy the lake.
Great Father's Day retreat!! House had everything we needed ! I was a tad concerned when I discovered the other rental was so close an rented by someone else BUT it turned out to be absolutely NO issue!!! Pictures don't do this place justice!! We didn't have much luck fishing at dock but it was very hot and windy!! If I had to list a complaint, it would be I wanted to use the private pool!!! This place has an amazing set up!! The putting green needs s tad attention!
Thanks for sharing!!
The grounds were beautiful, enjoyed our stay with 3 familes including 5 kids ages 5 and under.
We loved our time by the lake! Thank you Mr and Mrs Crawford!
Loved having all of you. Look forward to return visits.
