Enjoy your stay at a tastefully decorated home, with plenty of room to relax and play.
This is a really nice place, everything was clean and comfortable. Plenty of room to hang out and relax. One major complaint is the amount of food etc the owners keep in the fridge. There was basically room for nothing, and a note saying to put beverages outside since the fridge doesn't work well when overloaded. We had to toss expired food to make room for the basics that we brought. Normally if you rent a place with a kitchen, you're expecting to be able to bring at least some food to cook/eat.
The hot tub was very dirty. We let the kids use it before we checked it over and several of them got rashes. It probably just needs some basic maintenance (chlorine) but we didn't use it after that.
Location is great. Lots of parking. Space is very nice. Great place for a big family to gather. The fridge situation was really annoying, other than that it was great for a big group.
The photos associated with this property do not do it justice. The house was better than everyone anticipated. The space was more than adequate for the size of our group. The lack of central air was hardly an issue, and it was an uncharacteristically warm weekend in northern Michigan. This house is definitively the front runner for our next northern adventure!
We had 6 couples stay here for a 3 night get away and could not have been happier with the house and the location in regards to the activities that we enjoyed. The house was very clean (met the woman who takes care of this and could not have been nicer), the layout of the house was perfect for the 12 people that stayed there with the outdoor deck and hot tub as a great feature. The kitchen was fully furnished with everything we needed as we fixed breakfast each morning and fixed dinner for two of the nights using the charcoal grill. The location was great as we rented a pontoon both on Crystal Lake (15 minute drive) for one of the days (would recommend that to anyone in the summer, great water, clean and cool) used Macdonald Marine for that and spent one day at Sleeping Bear Dunes then went to Traverse City to explore (great micro breweries). That was about a 40 minute drive. A couple of suggestions to improve would be 1) get a new coffee pot, took almost 20 minutes to brew one pot,2) get a screen door to put on the sliding glass door off the deck, 3)Have the hot tub drained and cleaned, some sand and dirt in the bottom, 4)ice maker in fridge didn't seem to work well, 5) a couple of the red lawn deck chairs had some cracks, 6) check one of the towel racks in the downstairs bathroom seems to be coming off the wall and make sure that when people checkout they take their food items (mostly condiments etc..) out of the fridge, took up a lot of room. Air conditioning would be nice but it was cool in the evenings and there were plenty of fans available that we used. These are little things that would make it better but overall we all agreed that this was a great place and would come back.. one other thing I would take new photos to download on your site, the place to us was much nicer than the pictures that you had on the property.
Great place, there was 11 of us up there playing golf, plenty of beds for everyone. Big firepit that was very nice. The weather was very hot and the home does not have air so it was pretty hot in the house. All in all we had a very good time.
Located just minutes from golfing, skiing, hiking and swimming. Enjoy year-round activities, including nature walks, wine tours, and bird-watching, all within 30 minutes of the cabin. There are also cultural areas to experience, such as the world-renowned Interlochen School for the Arts; and the Michigan Legacy Park, located within the resort, featuring local Michigan artists and their sculptures.
