Enjoy your stay at a tastefully decorated home, with plenty of room to relax and play.
We stayed the weekend before Christmas with our entire family. The home was nicely remodeled and had more than enough space for everyone. We spent the weekend skiing, but it was beautiful up there even if you don't ski. We would definitely stay again if we make our way back to the area. Great time!
The home was awesome for our family reunion. The home has been completely redone and the pictures on the website need to be updated. We were very pleasantly surprised at how nice everything was. The home was close to Crystal Mountain and we had an awesome time exploring. We would love to return some day.
We rented this place to have family come and visit July 2017. This place is great for all ages. The place is nicely set in mid-western Michigan woods. We were right around the corner (literally you can walk) from Crystal Mountain resort and was able to use some of the amenities such as the spray and pool park, climbing wall and golfing. Traverse City is only an easy 40 min drive away for parks, lakefront beaches, shopping and good food; Frankfort was 15 min- with an amazing beach of Lake Michigan, and Glen Arbor was about an hour away if you want to visit a winery. The house is more than a cabin- it is an updated house with a floor plan that allows for easy visiting and entertaining. Two large queen bedrooms and a bath on second floor gave the older parents a place to rest without the kids noise. The basement has 10 bunk beds and a king bedroom with a ping pong table and TV with DVD console. Teenagers and elementary kids enjoyed "thier" home away from home too down there. One relative needed to have a bedroom on the first floor due to a handicap and the master bedroom and bath worked well for them. With 3 bathrooms, you did have to wait for a shower either. We ate outside on most days as the weather for late July was in the mid 80s. There is a beautiful wood dining room table that can fit 7-8 people. Perfect for the family dinner or board game. Perfect night breezes made us comfortable at night without the need for AC. The house is clean and well maintained. Extra cleaning supplies were left so we could keep up on ourselves and even do a few loads of wash. The pictures shown are dated and some trees must have been removed since there is more yard in the back and more landscaping around the deck. The yard was spacious enough for kids to have a soccer game. We felt right at home- certainly better than a hotel or camper! A great place for a family reunion- there is plenty of room for multiple families! We would definitely rent this place again.
We were a group of 5 families with a total of 6 kids under 7 and the house was a great fit. Plenty of room for everyone. There was plenty of room inside and outside and the sleeping accommodations were fine too. It was clean and had everything we could have wanted and more in terms of supplies.
Overall we were very pleased with our rental, I'm from New England so saying glowingly nice things is not generally something I do. With that said this rental was great. Top quality, very clean, generous sized rooms and close enough to everything you'd want to explore in the area. We found a great little distillery(Ironfish) that serves cocktails a mile or two away that had music and a food truck on Friday night which we really enjoyed. Explored Sleeping Bear Dunes and Traverse City as well. Communication was timely, check in was easy and all questions and requests were handled. I would highly suggest you rent this property if visiting the area with a small family or group of friends.
We were able to comfortably fit our group of 8. Conveniently located near Crystal Mountain golf courses and resort. Wonderful yard with a large fire pit. Thanks for a great weekend!
Located just minutes from golfing, skiing, hiking and swimming. Enjoy year-round activities, including nature walks, wine tours, and bird-watching, all within 30 minutes of the cabin. There are also cultural areas to experience, such as the world-renowned Interlochen School for the Arts; and the Michigan Legacy Park, located within the resort, featuring local Michigan artists and their sculptures.
