My family including 2 teenagers stayed at this wonderful home this past week. The house is gorgeous with sweeping views of the Shawangunk Ridge, and spectacular sunsets were enjoyed by all! Everything was clean, and so comfortable. The kids had plenty to do with the badminton net, ping pong table and great fire pit at night. We made some delicious meals in the fabulous gourmet kitchen. This is the first time we have been to New Paltz, but we will definitely come back to this house again. We visited local wineries, went on amazing day hikes, played golf and ate at great local restaurants. This is our new summer destination! Thank you!
Our family totally enjoyed this beautiful home in New Paltz. The home was large enough for all of us to enjoy. Great kitchen & island where we made a few dinners from our many stops at local farmers markets. Great variety of restaurants in town and plenty of shops to wander. We had two small children with us and they loved the large yard and seeing the deer appear in the yard each morning. The house was inviting, roomy, clean, free wifi, it also featured a piano, art room and easy to cook in kitchen. We would recommend this home to others without hesitation. There was plenty to see in the short drive to town and around the area. The owner was easy to work with. A great place to stay and relax to get away from it all, or get out and sightsee!
Lisa's home was the perfect getaway from the city. We came to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday with all the kids and had a blast. The house is beautiful, comfortable and the vegetable garden is so charming! Would definitely go back again in a heartbeat. =) Thanks so much Lisa!
MY family and I had the most wonderful weekend. Lisa opened the door, welcomed us in to this most beautiful immaculate warm home. Everything was perfect, the kitchen, the bedrooms, bathrooms.
We all agreed that this property is much more beautiful than the pictures on
We love to cook, we spent a lot of time at the island in the kitchen which had everything and anything you needed. All the supplies top quality, and thats how it was throughout entire house. The linens, pots and pans, furniture ,outdoor grill, .. The home is decorated with a lot of love and charm.
The bedrooms are spacious, warm colors, each one with a beautiful view.
The moon seemed as if it was right above us.
We had lunch at the bistro in town, a bit of a wait but service and food was really good. The town is lovely to walk, my daughters spent a lot of time at the art shop, we drove up the mountain, took lots of pictures:) We made nice memories at New Paltz.
Thank you LIsa, We hope to see you again soon! We want to come back in the summer!
We had a great stay at this property. Beautiful, comfortable home and the owners even had the outdoor fire pit all setup for us when we arrived...all we had to do was light it! Perfect for groups - we were 4 couples - and there were so many things to do in the home we didn't even get a chance to take advantage of, like the music room and ping pong table. Definitely recommend this for a relaxing getaway and wish we had a couple more days. Close drive to Sam's Point Preserve and Minnewaska which made it very convenient for day hiking and just minutes from the main town.
What a pleasure to stay in this beautiful New Paltz home! The home is very clean and comfortable, has a excellently stocked kitchen for creating delicious meals and plenty of room for everyone to enjoy family time at the large kitchen table and around the rest of the expansive first floor. We also so very much enjoyed the fresh eggs each morning from the chickens! They were probably about the best tasting eggs that you'll ever have. Lisa, the homeowner, was lovely to rent from and it's evident that she takes pride in the home and making if comfortable to guests. Thanks for the great stay!
our weekend stay was very comfortable in this country oasis. Plenty of room in a very clean home with beautifully maintained yard and gardens. A family wedding in the area brought us to New Paltz. We had 8 adults and truly enjoyed the expansive porch and roomy interior. Thanks for sharing your five star property. We would recommend your home to friends

New Paltz is located just 1.5 hrs from NYC. (Trailways bus 2 miles away...right from the village). We are a popular tourist destination for sight seeing, wine tasting, all outdoor activities including golfing, world-class rock climbing, hiking, biking, swimming. You can even sky-dive at the nearby ranch! We are 2 minutes from town with many restaurants featuring locally grown foods, small shops, winery tours, organic gardens, and antique shops. On Sundays we have a terrific farmers market with local cheeses, wines and breads. There are many seasonal festivals like the regional art and antique fair, the annual regatta featuring homemade boats/floats, Taste of New Paltz, chili cook offs and cupcake festivals. There is a historic district with old stone houses from the first French Huguenot settlers and tours are given daily. Museums are nearby and, of course, the new walkway over the Hudson...our very popular National Park featuring the world's longest pedestrian walkway over the Hudson River where there are always music/events! The town pool/park is just around the corner, or you can swim in one of the many fantastic local streams/waterfalls.
