The Lodge at Cherry Valley is an awesome place near the Pocono area. It had everything we need and much more!

The property was clean and well-maintained and Courtney was very attentive and provided answers quickly. I would recommended this property to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in PA.

As described.

  • 5 of 5

The property was exactly as described. Homeowner instructions were clear and very helpful. The property was 5 minutes from the Stroudsmoor Inn, where we had a family wedding. The kids were happy to play. There were even fun toys. The baby gate at he top of the stairs was appreciated. Had a glitch with the Internet, but Courtney answered my message quickly and we got it working. Would definitely go back. The area is beautiful.

Great place for a family getaway

  • 5 of 5

First let me start by saying that the house is beautiful. The location is perfect for those looking for a quiet getaway in the mountains/woods. My family of 4 went with another family of 4 and had a great time. There was plenty of space and the house is super comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything that you would need to make just about any meal. They have a fantastic fire-pit outside, which we used to build a bonfire, and a charcoal grill, which was perfect to make a ton of steaks. Courtney was a fantastic host; she was very responsive when I was reserving the lodge, and even offered up places to eat in the local area. She made sure there was plenty of wood for the fire-pit and fireplace. We were only able to stay at the lodge for a long weekend, but definitely plan on returning sometime in the near future for a longer stay, if possible. I would definitely recommend The Lodge at Cherry Valley if you are staying in the Poconos. The lodge is about 35 - 40 minutes from Easton, PA, where the Crayola Factory/Museum is located. Our kids LOVED it, and the place was really cool. Courtney suggested Two Rivers Brewing for lunch in Easton, which was a great place. The food and beer were top notch. I plan on recommending the lodge to all my family and friends who decide to take a trip to the Poconos. Thank you Courtney for letting us stay in your beautiful lodge; all 8 of us had a great time!

Much nicer than the pictures show

OMG! This house has everything you need. We had a long weekend for New Years with the family and it was amazing. The house is tucked away from it all but still close to all. Wonderful hospitality. Highly recommend

Last-minute, lovely hosts, even prettier in person

  • 5 of 5

I contacted Courtney two days before an impromptu weekend away that I was trying to arrange for my family, and she got back to me almost immediately with info and next steps to make it happen. I thought I'd have to cancel, then switched gears on her again the DAY BEFORE the trip, and she still accommodated a 3 day rental for us without batting an eye.

This home is about 15 minutes from Stroudsburg, which has some great little places to eat and shop- it's just the right size for a foodie adventure when you're in the mood. We liked our trip to Popcorn Buddha for a billion flavors of popcorn to go with movie night, and the Levee Loop Trail for a long, shady, 5-mile run by the water to work it off again.

The driveway is lined with old trees that open into a clearing, and the house appears on a ridge with the sun lighting it from behind... it was an impressive sight and my husband and I were proud of ourselves for picking this one out!

The property is huge, beautifully maintained, has a great fire pit and a grill, and space for days on a wraparound deck. Inside, the furniture and appliances are almost all new, meticulously clean, and yet it's still very much a cozy home where you can relax. My favorite part about Courtney's hospitality was noticing the care taken to make guests feel welcome- there was plenty of information, coupons, magazines, supplies for the kitchen and bathrooms, maps, restaurant suggestions, a guest book (some of your renters were funny), snacks, and really nice linens and towels. My whole family and I couldn't get over how lovely the house SMELLED. Not at all like some places that get a little weird when they sit empty for periods of time... this house smells like a gorgeous pine forest... and my sister, my mom and I all noticed it right away.

The kitchen and the bathrooms are updated, the water pressure in the sinks and bathroom showers is great, there are filters everywhere so the water tastes and smells perfect, the A/C was fantastic on a modest setting even in the heat, the floor to ceiling windows in the living room were stunning for sunset, the layout was very spacious and private for 3 adult couples without any problems or noise. I can't say one bad thing except that we had to leave, ha. Even my very pregnant sister who is struggling to get comfortable under the best of circumstances gushed about the house and our weekend. We can't wait to go back! Thank you again!
