When I came to this area on Vacation I couldn't find anything this area didn't offer. Everyday here is a great adventure and I enjoy sharing the beauty of this place with our guests. There is never a lack of something to do. On a perfect summer day you can golf, whitewater raft and hike long before it gets dark. You can have as much solitude as you wish or as much adventure as you can possibly handle.
LuAnn purchased this house in 2007
After traveling through all the National Parks in the US, I was captivated by the beauty of Glacier National Park. The pristine rivers, blue lakes and endless outdoor recreation was something I had looked for in a town. Formally a Lake Tahoe resident, my wish list included finding a place like Lake Tahoe was 20 years ago. I wanted a ski town and lake town with Year round outdoor activities. When I came here and saw Glacier National Park.It was more then I had ever dreamed of finding in one place. I moved here 2 years later.
I chose this location to put you right in the middle of it all. You are only a few minutes from the trains and airport. A few minutes to the shopping, two downtown areas, Big Mountain ski resort and Glacier National Park. Although Whitefish lake is beautiful there are many smaller lakes and rivers to enjoy. The house itself lets you have privacy, open family areas but is a short ride to all the things I just mentioned.
This is the perfect house for two families. It is perfectly stocked with everything you need. The wild turkey walk every evening and the deer coming down to drink from the little pond make it perfectly bucolic. This experience completely restored my belief in VRBO. We will definitely be back.
We stayed at this house for a week during a family reunion. It was perfect! The house was stocked with everything we needed. The location is very central to Whitefish. Kalispell and Glacier Park. The owners were awesome to work with! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked and everything was very clean. We will definitely leave this in our favorites and plan to return.
My daughter got married in Whitefish, and I rented the home, so our family could stay together. It was beautifully appointed inside and out. The locations is fabulous as well. I would highly recommend this home for anyone for any reason. Thanks to LuAnn for all of her help booking.

Great house. Layout is perfect for families. Comfortable furniture , cozy beds, great kitchen, seemingly all new appliances, very clean, responsive owner and not too far from glacier np. House was a little tricky to find but that was not a big deal. Drove road to the sun in the evening and encountered no traffic at the park. Took the kids to the city beach access where you can swim with lifeguard on duty, rent kayaks, take a picnic etc.
We loved this property. Very quiet and serene Our stay at Black Bear was great. Was conveniently located between whitefish and Kalispell Easy drive to Glacier Natl Park. Enjoyed wild life by the pond every morning.
Loved the open concept in living area Bedrooms were very nice and roomy with lots of closets and drawers space If there would be a draw back it would be bathrooms. Would have been nice to have three.
The lodge was furnished beautifully We never lacked for a thing. Especially nice towels and lots of them. Great laundry facilities.
We had the pleasure of staying here with family from out of town - the home worked great for the 10 adults and 2 children we had. Plenty of space, clean, beautiful landscaping/grounds, and included all the necessities. We only stayed 2 nights so didn't really get to settle in and enjoy as much as we would have liked, but it was great for our stay! We went into Whitefish and Kalispell a few times and the location is convenient to both towns, grocery stores, shopping, etc. The day we departed, we went to Glacier and it was a quick trip to the West Entrance of Glacier as well. Overall great experience and exactly what we were looking for.
Close to Glacier National Park, Bob Marshall wilderness, Big mountain ski resort, Majestic Arena and rodeos. We are locate close to Big Mountain Golf course, Whitefish Golf Course, Meadow Lake Golf Course, and Buffalo Hills Golf Course.
