Wonderful!!!!

  • 5 of 5

We spent a long weekend at the cabin and enjoyed every minute! We were a three generation family - ages ranging from 1.5 to 70. Everyone had a wonderful time. The cabin is beautifully design, and super comfortable. The lake is amazing - quiet and very private. We had so much fun sitting on the dock, swimming and using the canoe. Leslie was extremely nice and helpful. In the house we found fun games for the kids, and great directions to nearby hikes. It was a perfect early summer weekend and we very much hope to have the opportunity to be back soon.

Charming and Beautiful Home - Quiet & Private

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay at the cottage! The place is so peaceful and quiet. I don't think we saw another person on the pond the entire weekend.

Thanks again

Our second year on Farrington Pond

  • 5 of 5

Our family of seven adults spent our second year vacationing on Farrington Pond. We were counting down the days since last August, our week came and it flew by. We had such a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable time, no agenda, just swimming, fishing, hiking and chilling. If this is what you like, this is the place for you, just not our week!!

The cabin, well appointed and comfortable, is perfect for a large family. We saw the loons, caught some impressive large mouth bass, which we released, and gazed at the endless stars and shooting stars. Just beautiful. Hiked to the nearby conservation area/bog, no moose, but did see some ducks and a great blue heron. We also enjoyed the local sweet corn which was superb.

Thank you again Leslie for allowing us access to your beautiful cabin, we are already planning for next year!! All the best, Michael, Mary and family

Absolutely Breathtaking!

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing vacation on Farrington Pond. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found a gem. The house exceeded our expectations...modern conveniences but a rustic, mountain feel surrounded us with comfortable and well chosen furnishings. The beds and linens were just right and the mountain air kept us cool at night, not to mention being lulled to sleep by the sound of the loons was pretty cool too. The view from the dock was breath taking. We felt as if we had the entire pond to ourselves much of the time as there were few others in sight. The kids loved jumping off the swim platform and kayaking. Many large mouth bass were caught and released - so much so that it was hard to keep our husbands from spending all their time on the canoes casting their lines :-)

We lost power one night due to storms, but took advantage of that to light a fire inside which was the perfect backdrop for a night of games. The screened porch was a great place for our morning coffee and the hot tub for an end of the night unwind. The kitchen was well equipped and everyone loved the silverware, the large coffee mugs, and even the built in bottle opener...little touches that had a large impact :-) We really can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our time here. Leslie was fantastic to work with and truly made us all feel welcomed into her home. We rented a pontoon on Kezar Lake for a day, but everyone agreed that we couldn't wait to just get back to "our pond." Our families have rented through VRBO many times, but this is, by far, the best experience we've ever had. We can't wait to go back and make more memories on Farrington Pond.

awesome week in Maine

Perfect weather. The house was perfect for 6/7 people. Best part was the lake, dock and kayaks/canoes. The view from the lake was amazing. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

beautiful setting, well maintained lake house

  • 5 of 5

We had a family get-together here. It's a stunning setting, with dock, floating dock and and some canoes. We enjoyed s'mores at the firepit. the kitchen is well stocked and we were able to cook some fine meals. On cool nights we lit a fire in the main room. there's a good bunk room area upstairs and in the basement and everyone was comfortable. It was clean and everything worked. Leslie helped us get all the information we needed and there was a handy instruction manual. We'd definitely recommend and return. We didn't check out any restaurants. It's a low key place. I would recommend Sweet Roots farm stand up Slab City Road for some good organic veggies. hike up Sebbatus mountain.
