We enjoyed a great week on the cape with Greg's home providing an ideal base to explore.
We loved the feel of space in this house (we were 4 adults and 2 children of 4 yrs and 1 yr), and the lovely wrap-around porch and garden. The house is very well equipped and has a warm home-from-home feel. We stayed at the property in May but we were not so lucky with the weather. This meant we spent more time out and about exploring the towns on the Cape, rather than relaxing and enjoying the home and garden but we could certainly see the appeal of kicking back and enjoying time at the house! We did manage to BBQ outside on a couple of occasion, which was lovely. The garden is immaculately maintained and very private.
For us, the East Dennis/Brewster location on the Cape was perfect. Some of our favourite spots such as Mayflower beach, and Scargo Lake were close by (the latter within walking distance), and we enjoyed having Grumpy’s (for breakfast) and the Marshside restaurant (we had dinner here) almost at the end of the street. We benefited from the proximity to quaint general stores (Brewster) and coffee shops (Snowy Owl Coffee), both a short drive away. and also found the more functional supermarkets and food stores conveniently located nearby. We also loved the area around the Sesuit café (comfortable jogging distance for anyone keen to explore on foot) and had a fantastic lobster dinner overlooking the water there. The area is beautiful, very leafy and probably as beautiful through all of the seasons. In terms of road access, this area also works as a great base for exploring the Cape by car.
We found the owner, Greg, very accessible in the lead up to our visit. He provided lots of useful information and tips on and area, and was also very accommodating, sourced a crib for my 1 year old especially for our visit!
We highly recommend a trip to the Cape, and when we return we will use 12 Tempus Way again!
My family had a most enjoyable vacation at Greg and Lynn's beautiful home. I felt the description does not do justice to this amazing vacation rental. As my son Jim said on arrival " This is unbelievable". The home was spotless when we arrived and the "gift" from Greg was much appreciated. I had grandchildren with me and they were able to enjoy and get lost in all the child friendly areas in the home. Beaches were all nearby and easy to get to. Location on mid-Cape was perfect as we were able to tour different ares without having to travel too far. We most definitely will be returning! I want to be totally honest as it would have been perfect if mattresses were a little more comfortable. For anyone with back problems I would suggest bringing an overlay for comfort.
I give this home a 4.5 rating
This house is lovely. It is pretty, clean and welcoming. The backyard is absolutely wonderful. It is an oasis. All though we had no concerns, working with the landlord was a pleasure from the beginning. Looking very forward to another vacation in this beautiful home.
My children, grand children and I (11 of us) enjoyed a wonderful week of family fun in Dennis. The beautifully appointed and well maintained home was the perfect base for all fun things on the cape. So close to great beaches, golf, restaurants, shopping or anything else you'd like to do. We really enjoyed the privacy of the location for ourselves and on 1 night we hosted a party for friends on the cape while we were there - all of our guests loved it too. Our host couldn't have been more cordial to us and I feel like I have made a new friend. I almost hesitated to send this review to keep it a secret for us to enjoy, but it's too nice not to share. I'll be online soon for summer 2015 at this wonderful property.
We had a wonderful stay at this house this summer! It was clean and well appointed and perfect for kids! The owners were also very nice and helpful. I would not hesitate to stay here again!
Our Stay in Cape Cod was Fantastic. The owner of the house was a pleasure to work with and was very receptive to all of our questions and needs. The house was beautifully maintained and clean upon our arrival. It is located on a quiet cul-de sac where the kids could safely ride their bikes. The house is relatively new and there is very little wear and tear. All the Bedrooms are large and the layout of the house is very comfortable. The private backyard is beautifully landscaped and perfect for entertaining. Although not on the beach, the house is just a short drive to Corporation and Mayflower Beaches. Not an issue at all, and we enjoyed a few day trips to Chatham. We highly recommend this property and look forward to our next stay!
Just a short walk to the infamous Scargo Hill Tower, Scargo Lake Beach for fresh water swimming and kayaking, conservation lands, antique shops, store, local pub and restaurants. Only one mile to Dennis' finest beaches including Corporation and Howes. We are a short 4 minute drive to Mayflower and Sea Street beaches as well as Sesuit Harbor where you can launch your boat, the Cape Cod bike path for cycling the Cape, and the Dennis Pines 18 hole public golf course. Take a 3 minute drive along lovely Rt. 6A with its many antique shops, art galleries, shops, restaurants, the Village Green for picnicking or enjoying a weekly concert, and you'll reach America's well known oldest summer live theater, Cape Cod Playhouse. Minutes to fun children's activities such as mini-golf, go karts, paddle boats, tennis, movies and more. A perfect location for all family recreational activities!
