A little about our family first my name is Michelle but most people call me Shelley my husband name is Ricky and we have two young children Cooper who is 8 and Bentley who is 6 I grew up just a mile from this property and my husband is from Ellsworth which you drive through to get to the property. I went to MDI high school where I was part of 3 basketball state championships and then graduated from Maine Maritime Academy where I was known for playing basketball aswell. I now work for a family business right in town Gott's disposal I also work at Margo Stanley Real Estate as a associate broker and last my husband and I own our own businesses Miles Motorsports & Complete Car Care and Miles Lawn Care which is located in Hancock. Ricky has also worked for Morrison Chevrolet for 18 years which is now Darlings Chevrolet in Ellsworth. Rick went to Ellsworth High School where he was a part of 2 soccer state championships. As you can see we are a very busy family when we are not working we are with our family Rick is a Shriner and is part of the Nascar unit of Ellsworth so we go camping a lot to help raise money for the shine hospital. We love being outside ice fishing, snowmobiling, boating, all water and land sports we just love. I would love to answer anything anyone would like to know about me and my family.

April vacation getaway
We had a fantastic time in Acadia during Massachusetts school vacation. Despite the cold weather and maybe because of it we felt had the island to ourselves. The house is very secluded and on the quiet side, perfect for us. Kids loved the huge backyard and play structure. Most of all they loved the pool, hours of swimming and playing made for a very good nights sleep. House had everything we needed except shampoo. Spacious and relaxing, easy to cook and unwind. More than enough beds for everyone, very comfortable sleeping. Everything was in good working order, no issues. Would love to return some day!
The house was nice and roomy, there was plenty of space for everyone, the property was large and offered great outdoor (and indoor pool) activities for the kids!!
Second stay, hopefully third to follow!
Great location, quiet side is peacefull. This was our second stay in this house. Pool and hot tub are great to come home to each day. Owners respond promptly to questions. Minor issues with hot tub, tvs, and microwave, but not a real issue. Not in Maine to watch TV anyway. Kids love the yard and play while we relax on great porch and chairs. Everything you need is there, even free weights.
We will be back for a third time.
Great house with amazing indoor pool
We had a wonderful time in Maine over Memorial Day weekend. The house was very comfortable. The kitchen was great and had everything we needed. The highlights were the indoor pool and outdoor hot tub. Our daughters were amazed and had a great time swimming every afternoon!
The house was amazing. Clean and spacious. The trip was a bit chilly weather wise, but knowing we had a great space with a pool was wonderful. We were able to explore a different side of Acadia and not be too far from Bar Harbor. Definitely book this property for a great time away from home.
Wonderfully Secluded with Every Amenity
My family (five adults and three children) stayed at this wonderfully secluded house on the quiet side this past July. The house and property has everything. Sitting on a several acre lot, there's enough outdoor and indoor activities to satisfy everyone. Outdoors, the property features a full size basketball court, beach volleyball area, fire pit, hot tub, horseshoe setup, and swing set for the kids. Indoors, you will be amazed with the size of the kitchen and dining area equipped with all the cooking supplies you need, indoor pool house, multiple sitting areas, lower-level master bedroom with modern two-person shower; half-bath, laundry room, and large walk-in pantry adjacent to the kitchen. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms with a large hall bathroom and a convenient family area. There is a large outdoor deck behind the house, which features a wrap around gas grill and bar setup. An additional bedroom, bathroom, and under-construction sauna are located above the pool house.
This beautiful home is minutes from Southwest Harbor, Bernard, and nearby Seal Cove. A very short drive will take you onto the eastern portion of MDI and Bar Harbor where you can explore hiking, fishing, boating, and of course the beautiful scenery. Every day, we went out and explored the miles of hiking trails, countless rocky shorelines, and tide pools. The lobster is a wonderful treat (there are two nearby pounds - Thurston's in Bernard and Beal's in SW Harbor). Don't forget the Oceanarium and the Dorr Museum at the College of the Atlantic.
The Miles family is warm and will make your stay on MDI a pleasant and enjoyable experience. Don't miss this gem!
