Why Silvia Gates chose Lake Tahoe North Shore

West shore, is the best! We own and manage this home. Our families love Lake Tahoe, it's 'heaven on earth' and we enjoy sharing this wonderful place with others.

The photos don't do the home justice

  • 5 of 5

I rented this home for a long weekend to host a family reunion and 60th birthday celebration for my sister. My nephew and his wife got to the home first and he called me to say the home was "awesome." The views of Lake Tahoe from the deck were spectacular. We had rented another home to have more bedrooms, but this was the gathering place as the kitchen, dining, living room were all open so everyone could be in the same place. The walk to beach was about 15 minutes, and the beach was beautiful, but we learned it was a rather strenuous walk because of the hills, but there was parking. However, there is no air conditioning. We were there in the heat of July so it was a little warm, but it cooled off in the evenings for good sleeping. I would definitely go back here.

Perfect house for our trip to Tahoe

  • 4 of 5

This was a great house for our three generations who traveled by plane from South Carolina and Virginia. Not only is it a well organized house, Silvia has everything there for you so that there are only groceries to worry about; toilet paper, paper towels, soaps, shampoo, dishwasher detergent and condiments in the frig were all there which is unusual for a rental. In addition, there were toys and games for the kids. Being from the South we loved sleeping with windows open and just the no air conditioning. The beach is nice and the kayaks provided by the house were wonderful entertainment. We'd rent this house again if we ever all flew out to Tahoe once more.

A gem in Lake Tahoe

  • 5 of 5

Wow (Did I mention "wow"?) We have been vacationing in Lake Tahoe for more than 50 years, from camp grounds to timeshares. This is the first time we rented a vacation home. Our children and their families joined us for 10 wonderful days. The house is exceptional and accommodated everyone perfectly. The view of Rubicon Bay is beyond accolades. The owners provided many perks including kayaks, beach gear & sun screen (are you kidding me, who supplied sun screen). The kitchen was so totally stocked, we threw away half our shopping list. I mean things like a complete spice rack, EVOO, and many other basics essential for preparing meals. One of the best perks that goes with this property is access to a private beach. One of the best beaches on the lake. We own a cabin home in Yosemite National Park and can appreciate the commitment the owners of this vacation home have to excellence and providing their guests with a memorable experience.

We will definitely book this property again.

We will be back!!

  • 5 of 5

Our family enjoyed the holidays at this amazing home. The views of the lake were beautiful! This home is perfect for families who enjoy cooking and have small children. The great room and bedrooms were also very spacious. The owner of the home made sure we were comfortable and was just a call away should we need anything. We would love to return in the summer!

The house was exactly as described.

Checkin could not have been easier.

Everything was provided, with quality linens, well-supplied kitchen, and even toys for the kids to play with.

Immaculately clean.

Nice quiet location.

Notes:
Minutes to private Home Owners Association, white sand beach. One of the BEST on the lake. For winter and ski lease: Homewood Ski Resort, located 7.5 miles away, is one of the few resorts you can find powder after lunch on a snow day, and enjoy great views of the lake. Just 11.5 miles away, Sunnyside offers a 10 minute shuttle ride to the Sherwood Chair at world-renowned Alpine Meadows For those looking for cross country, Sugar Pine State Park (home of the 1960 Olympics for cross country events) is just 4 miles away.
