Our property is located in Andersonville, just steps from Clark St. and a short #22 bus ride to Wrigley Field, home of the World Champion Chicago Cubs. The apartment is a two bedroom, one bath unit on the second floor of a classic Chicago 2 flat building, built in the early 1900's, in the Arts and Crafts style. The apartment has modern amenities, with upgrades to the kitchen and bath. But it retains many vintage details, such as stained glass windows. Andersonville, once a destination for Swedish immigrants, is now a very eclectic area, with plenty to see and do. Small, one-of-a-kind retail shops, line Clark Street. Also, there are a large number of restaurants and bars alongside the retail stores. You can dine at places like Big Jones, Hamburger Mary's, Ranalli's Pizza and Calo Italian Restaurant. Or have a drink at Marty's Martini Bar. It's all here for you. And should you want to explore the rest of the city, we are just a few blocks from the Red Line (elevated train line). The Red Line will connect you to downtown and access to the airports. We are just over a mile away from the Aragon Ballroom and the Riviera Theatre. We are also within walking distance of the lakefront, with its sandy beaches and miles of bike paths (Divvy rental bike kiosks nearby). And if you prefer to drive to your destinations, we offer garage parking included in your stay. City of Chicago - License #2411496
In the heart of it all! But still a quiet and peaceful location.

About Shawn Joyce
We both grew up in Chicago. Shawn grew up right here in Andersonville. And he worked as a newspaper delivery boy, tossing papers from his bike, on this very street. We have traveled extensively and believe we know what travelers are looking for in a place to stay.
Shawn Joyce purchased this Apartment in 2006
Why Shawn Joyce chose Edgewater
The property is spacious, and it feels like home. It has all new furniture, great artwork, and a fully equipped kitchen. We stayed overnight to test it out, and we didn't want to leave!
What makes this Apartment unique
There may be up to four Cubs tickets available for purchase with your stay. The seats are in the upper deck and about five rows from the rail, between first base and home plate.

Wonderful location, great hosts
Our family of four enjoyed everything about the rental. We stayed for four days.
The owners thought of everything, which made our stay comfortable and easy.
The location could not have suited us better. Good food, lots of choices, local shops.
Our children are around 10 years of age. They also enjoyed the shops and restaurants. The neighborhood seemed very kid friendly.
We took Lyft to the museums. That worked well.
My wife and I visited Chicago for the first time and we wanted a place with easy access to downtown Chicago, but didn't want to stay in the city, this turned out to be a really good choice. The property owners are very nice, responsive and have thought of everything and more when it come to amenities included with this rental. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others. This location is just a couple of blocks or a short walk to the train that runs all day to the downtown area, stopping at Wrigley on the way.
Property is in a great location!
I can't say enough how pleased my husband and I were with this place! My husband and I took two teenage girls to a concert at the Aragon Ballroom. Shawn and Joyce are so organized and they really go out of their way to make your stay very relaxing. The area was awesome! We walked 5 blocks late a night and felt completely safe! We had no problems what-so-ever! We will highly recommend this place to friends and family and will be staying again in the future!
This is the best VRBO I’ve ever experienced! Shawn and Paula have thought of everything to make the stay comfortable and easy. I only wish I was spending a week here! We’ll be back.
Extremely comfortable and great location
Great location with eating, drinking, and shopping venues nearly out your front door. Close to mass transit. Great place if you are spending a week in Chicago area so you can get away from downtown hassle for a bit and decompress and relax.
A really good place to stay
This is a great place and there are lots of very good places to eat locally as well as being very easy to commute into Chicago on the L train
