Soaring ceilings, brick walls, hardwood floors, granite, slate and marble surfaces, gourmet chef's kitchen, luxurious yet comfortable decor, and New Orleans style balcony make this your perfect home away from home! With all there is to do in Asheville and a wonderful place to return to each evening, you may never want to leave! Asheville's best restaurants, bars, shops, galleries and live music venues are steps away from this lovingly restored loft apartment. The loft features 2 very private bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. There is a 2-person jetted tub and a double shower with an oversized rain shower head for a spa-like experience. Free Charter TV and wireless internet are included and there is a nice desk area for business travelers. You have to see this loft to fully appreciate its beauty and the attention to detail evident in its beautifully restored rooms.
I grew up in North Carolina but spent the first 20 years of my adult life in Alaska where all 3 of my sons were born. I moved back to North Carolina in 2003 and settled in the Asheville area for its beauty, food, music and outdoor lifestyle. I love it here and have truly grown to enjoy all that downtown Asheville has to offer.
Mary Hart purchased this apartment in 2012
The opportunity to purchase this building arose unexpectedly, but I felt drawn to the building and its rich history and took the plunge, buying the building in April 2012 and starting a 6+ month renovation project. The results are even better than I expected and I love sharing this property with travelers. One day I plan to live here myself so I have renovated this building as if it were my own home. I know you will love it too and will want to return again and again to experience all that Asheville has to offer, with the comforts of home waiting for you at the end of each day!
This beautiful loft apartment is truly in the heart of downtown Asheville, steps away from Asheville's finest restaurants, bars, galleries, shops and live music venues. You cannot get any closer to vibrant downtown living. Unlike a hotel room, you come home each day to your own home away from home. Relax and enjoy a glass of wine or one of Asheville's world famous beers on the balcony and watch the action - or start your day on the balcony with a cup of coffee or tea and watch Asheville wake up. If you enjoy cooking your own meals while traveling, you will be delighted with the fully stocked gourmet chef's kitchen, with a beautiful copper hood and handmade walnut bar.
This apartment was absolutely beautiful and very spacious! The decorations and furnishings are amazing. They thought of everything! I usually carry a fan with me or my sound machine for added "noise" for sleeping and they even had sound machines in both bedrooms!! My only regret was not getting to cook in that awesome kitchen, usually when you rent a place and if you do decide to cook you don't have things you need. I can't imagine not having everything you need in this kitchen, even some spices! Did I mention the cabinets OMG they were to die for! Next time I will be cooking something in the kitchen! I loved everything about this place! It was great to be downtown and enjoy walking around. We did the comedy tour on the big purple bus which we walked to and it was a great way to spend an evening before walking back and eating in one of the local restaurants. We would love to come back and bring another couple along! I felt a little guilty staying in such a great place with so much room to entertain and no one to share it with! It's the perfect place to stay!! Oh yea did I mention the kitchen???....until next time..... I will dream of cooking a meal in the kitchen. I definitely recommend staying here you will not be disappointed!
P.S. Load the parking app on your phone, it will save you a lot of aggravation!!
We went to Asheville with another couple, have done VBRO places before, this was the best! The decor was beautiful, I only regret I didn't get to cook in kitchen. There are steps, parking a ways to walk to (garage) but it was great for walking out the door and exploring. It is a bit noisy at night, you pay for being in the heart of it, the sound machine in bedroom had me dreaming of rain. I would go back here again. Only issues Wifi and ice maker but we survived nicely.
This apartment is so gorgeous that it's hard to leave! The furnishings and detailed decorating are impeccable! It was very clean and everything available for meal preparation. We enjoyed sitting out on the terrace, drinking wine and watching the people walk by. A variety of lovely restaurants were minutes away (walking) and the center of Asheville was five minutes away. I highly recommend this beautiful apartment!
what an awesome place!! Our stay (2 couples) was one of the best! We have rented a lot of homes & this one is one of the best! We came in late & it was kinda hard to find, I'm sure if your not worn out & it's not dark out it wouldn't be hard at all! The decor is beautiful, the bar is just, wow!! The two bedrooms are both upstairs and very separate, each with its own full bathroom! The beds were so comfortable! The deck overlooking the city is very nice. We felt very safe out late walking around! There is plenty close & it is a very short walk to center of town! Mary (& her assistant, forgot her name) were super easy to work with!! There are a lot of steps, didn't bother us but keep in mind! You won't regret renting this!!!
We stayed for a weekend in June for a friends 40th and cannot say enough about this wonderful space.
First off - thank you Mary for the early check in and being so responsive!
We had 2 couples and a single staying in the space. The location is on Lexington by Chicken Alley with great bars and restaurants all around. We spent Saturday night at 5 Walnut listing to a fantastic jazz band and couldn't have been more entertained!
Parking was not a challenge at all (unlike the lofts we have stayed at on Church Street). We parked on the street and in the lots close by for pennies.
As for the condo...we loved having a keypad for easy entry for all 5 of us. The bedrooms were incredibly comfortable for catching up on sleep after tubing and touring breweries and bars alike. Having the bedrooms on opposite ends gave us an enormous amount of privacy.
The kitchen was high end and well stocked with everything we would have needed to cook a feast! The couches were comfortable enough to sleep on (the air mattress batteries were dead so you might want to bring your own in case).
But the best part was the balcony where we spent most of our time people watching! The rain came and went quickly but thanks the the awning, we didn't get wet!
We will definitely be revising the Lexington Loft next time we get the Asheville...it's a gem! If you ever want to sell please let us know!
As long as you're willing to climb the stairs, the Loft can't be beat in terms of comfort, beauty and location. Impressive décor and very well-outfitted, we had everything we needed. The balcony was just right for the four of us to enjoy a cocktail before dinner. Speaking of dinner, we had four meals out and three of them were within an easy walk - all were outstanding.
