The house was perfect for our group of 4 couples, plenty of sleeping space and plenty of room in the living room, dining room, kitchen and most importantly deck, dock and beach for all of us. We were ten minutes from full grocers, 5 minutes to the lobster co-op and specialty stores for wine, cheese, oysters, etc. The house is perfectly set up for being outside, on the water, and in full relaxation mode. We will be back again.
After spending a week with family and friends at this property I can honestly say it is the perfect place to stay while visiting Maine. The house has stunning water views from the living area and kitchen and a wonderful deck to watch the tide come in and go out. Even in less than perfect weather conditions there is plenty to do and explore in the area or just relax in the house, which is extremely comfortable and feels like new. We spent hours on the private beach that is directly below the house, we kayaked, took walks along a nearby nature preserve, fished, and ate lots of lobster that we purchased just down the road. I already miss hearing the waves on the rocks while falling asleep and I cannot wait to return.
Our family rented this amazing house for the week and had a fabulous time. We have two young boys and the house was just perfect. Spacious, clean, and bright! The sandy beach was great as well, perfect for our family. We ate lobster and oysters 6 out of the 7 days we were there... what a great area!
We just spent a week here with our friends, and the location, the house, and its surroundings were simply amazing. With four adults and three young boys, we had plenty of space and plenty to do including beach combing, swimming, kayaking, island exploring and fishing. The house had everything we needed and then some. We hope we can visit again next year!
I know it is a cliche, but it is difficult to put into words the beauty and proximity to the water of this spot on the cove. The sandy beach (sometimes a rarity in Maine) is right below the house. There are plenty of sunny spots to relax, including the beach, dock, large deck, and grassy lawn. The house is simply and beautifully appointed, with two big sets of sliding glass doors letting in tons of natural light. At the end of the week, my friend and I were completely relaxed.
I like to run, and this is a terrific area for that. I am definitely retunring next summer!
