review:

Very nice apartment. Clean, large and close to the down town and many attractions.

The bedrooms are very well appointed with comfortable beds, large dressers and quite ceiling fans for the warm nights.

We stayed for three nights so we made use of all the facilities including the washer/dryer. Every thing was in very good condition and worked well, the appliances looked as if they were brand new.

Parking is large enough to comfortably accommodate a mini van, we had a Dodge Caravan.

As the other reviewer mentioned, sitting on the deck in the back yard seem more like you're in the country than in a city, very nice place to relax after a busy day of site seeing.

We would stay here again if we return to Montreal for another visit.

Hi Huu

When we arrived, the rental was exactly as I had seen online. It was a perfect place to host the out-of-town Bachelorette as it was close to downtown, was in walking distance to a grocery store/bank/SAQ and had plenty of space in the living room and dining area and there were plenty of bedrooms. The driveway for parking also made it very convenient. All of the ladies that attended commented on how great a place it was. I also want to thank you for being so quick to reply to my many questions and for being so flexible with the late check-out.

Thank you again for everything,

Rebecca

Hi Phuc Luong

We got the refund.

Thank you so much for everything

The apartment was great.

Thanks for making our stay in Montreal possible.

Gordon

We were in Montreal for a weekend with our family of 6.

We find this apparment exactly like the photos of the website. Very close to the Metro and walking distance to the grocery stores and phamacy. We had friends coming over for lunch and breakfast and we find everything in the kitchen ( plates and pots..etc.) The only thing missing was a jar for water or juice. Also the plants in the driveaway are overgrown, their leaves were hanging over the winshield. Huu , I love your plants, but this big branch it needs to trim a little because your parking space is a little tight and the plants in the way is some annoing to walk around this area between the stairs, the plant and the car.

We like the cleanless of the place and the decoration , my friends ask me now do I find this nice and green space in Montreal.. This apartment has a nice patio with a barbeque and tables and chairs. Next time I will be using this BBq and invited my friend again. They were impressed . I will be back with my family this Spring again.

Huu, I will tell you when I am going to come back very soon.

Great apartment.

Ruth

Hi Huu,

Thanks much. We all enjoyed the stay at your place. It was such a wonderful experience that we will prefer to stay at your place, if available. Regards.

Syed.

Hello!

Thanks for the refund.

We really enjoyed the apartment and found it a very handy location. We spent Saturday at the Olympic park/Biodome and were happy to be able to walk there.

Over all, we had a lovely weekend. Thank you!

Yours,

Laura

Hi,

Thank you very much. Everything was great. We hope to come back again soon.

Thanks,

Amir

I would stay here every time I'm in Montreal

This is my second time staying at this location and it was just as great as the first. A spatious place that was not only clean and accommodating but also comfortable to live in, just as how one would feel in their own home.

Dwayne.

Hi mr. Luong,

Thanks for the prompt return of my deposit. The location was perfect and the place was excellent.

The apartment couldn't have been cleaner and offered everything we needed. Affordable taxis to downtown and nearby subway

Made it very easy to go anywhere. We will certainly consider your property for our next trip to Montreal.

Thanks again!

ryan.

4 blocks to Metro, Botanical Gardens or grocery store

  • 4 of 5

Really enjoyed using this VRBO for our 1st visit to Montreal. Being so close to Metro subway made it very easy to get to wherever we wanted to go, within a relatively short period of time.

Only a few blocks away was the grocery store. In the opposite direction we walked to the Botanical Gardens(right across the street from the Olympic Stadium). My only complaint was the block of cutting knives were so dull !! Could barely cut our vegetables. Had to go out and buy a vegetable peeler too, because the one on hand was useless. But other than that, I look forward to using this VRBO again, the next time in Montreal.

This place has some nice features but...

  • 3 of 5

This rental was fine but not great for us (family of 5) for several reasons. We came from Quebec by train and did not have a car although if you did bring one there is a space available for it. There is a metro station (Prefontaine) and bus stop lfairly close but coming from the metro it is all uphill. It's in a decent residential neighborhood and there are few restaurants nearby but choices are very limited unless you want to walk about 3/4 mile. Overall, it is not as close to downtown as I would have liked. But it is within walking distance to the Olympic complex if that interests you. The apartment itself has very nice bedrooms. The main living area was ok but we had trouble with the tv. There is a washing machine but it doesn't spin all the water correctly so you have to wring clothes out by hand before putting them in the dryer. The bathroom will get a little mildewy smelling if too many people take a shower and the lights blink on and off. The little deck off the back is pleasant. This is a triplex apartment so you do hear and smell things from the other apartments. Overall I would say it was acceptable but next time I would pick a spot much closer in to downtown Montreal.

Owner's Response: hi, for the bathroom, you should open the ventilation because it is too much humidity. i just test the washing machine and didn t see any problem.

Not fancy but very comfortable

  • 4 of 5

The house is a great location and well fitted with plenty of spaces to sit together, eat, lounge and the bedrooms are well set out. Only criticisms are the fan in 2nd bedroom doesn't work and it was very warm when we were there, and the bathroom light has a strange fade on and off sequence that has a mind of its own - kind of like a disco light... odd. Lots of local info but a bit outdated. Great back porch, parking was a great bonus. Thank you for an awesome weekend!

Owner's Response: hi, thank you for using one of ours apartments. i test the fan in the second bedroom. it s working. for this fan, you need to open the wall electric switch then turn on the fan. for the bathroom, it is a touch switch.

Comfortable apartment.

  • 4 of 5

All in all, we had a very comfortable stay here. Location was good - just a 5-10min walk from both groceries etc and the metro. The apartment was adequately clean and it had everything we needed. We cooked every night and found the kitchen to be decently stocked with utensils etc. Oil, salt and a few other condiments were available. Check in was easy and Huu was great and promptly responsive to our questions. Only downside was that the internet was often slow and at times completely absent. Made it challenging to book train rides, tickets and keep up with work. Huu talked about upgrading this and I think that would be a welcome improvement.

Great rental for a family but home needed a good cleaning

  • 3 of 5

Them Metro is 10 minutes away from the home which made it very convenient to get around. The home is really cute and it has everything you'd find at home. There is a grocery store pretty close by as well. The only thing we would really complain about is that the home is need of a good dusting. When we looked behind the beds and dressers or in the corners you would see lots of dust. There were also lots of spiders and ants which really bothered me. We had to do some dusting ourselves to get rid of the spider webs. Didn't see spiders the last couple of days of our stay.
