Nice home base for east side of Glacier NP.

  • 4 of 5

Our family used the cabin as our home base for visiting the east side of Glacier National park. The cabin was rustic, but cozy. It was very much in line with the description. Minor questions were addressed by the owner promptly. We hardly even realized that anyone else was around. One night we enjoyed a fire in the fire pit under the stars. The sleeping arrangements were a little unusual, with everyone in the basement, but it worked fine for our family. The East side of Glacier is amazing, and it was a good location to avoid a super long drive in the morning, and could get there in time to find parking ahead of the crowds. We saw some moose and grizzlies in the Many Glaciers area.

Owner's Response: Hi Anderson Family, Glad you enjoyed your visit, sorry I didn't tell you about the microwave. It seemed no one ever used it so I took it out to make more space, I could have put it back for you. Glad to hear about coffee maker, no one has said anything, now that I know I will replace it. Thanks and best regards, Capri Little

Wonderful stay away in the woods

  • 5 of 5

We spent three nights at the cabin in June during our trip to Glacier. The cabin sits on the family’s ranch just off Route 2 about 20 miles west of east entrance and 35 miles east of the west gate. The cabin is modest but very comfortable and was everything we needed with a kitchen, clean bathroom and cozy beds downstairs. There was satellite tv too but we didn’t spend any time watching it. The wonderful family lives on the ranch and actually competes in rodeos so our little girls (3 & 6) were absolutely amazed by watching everyone practice for their competition and their daughter even took the girls for a brief horseback ride. The cabin has a campfire ring with firewood, so it was really nice to wind down in the evening and look at the stars with the family. Overall, it was a great, comfortable base camp for our adventures in the park and we really appreciated the hospitality.
