The cabin was fantastic, exactly as described, if anything it was nicer in person than seeing through photos. Cabin was very clean upon arrival, plenty of fire wood to use as needed and a great hot tub on back porch. The booking was extremely easy and Julie was a joy to work with (thank you). She recommended a number of restaurants for us to try as well as other places to visit and all were as good as she said. The only reason I did not give a 5 star rating was because the cable access was very basic and the cabin did not provide access to Netflix or similar as many others do. This was only an issue because this was a winter trip, in the summer it wouldn't have mattered as much. I would recommend this property as a great place to stay for couples and families.
First of all, the weather was perfect! (Thank you, Natalie) The cabin was very clean when we arrived (thank you, Kathryn), spacious and was well stocked with essential cooking items and paper products. The outside area in the community was beautifully landscaped with cedar mulch and pine trees. We met our Wisconsin daughter and family there (halfway for both of us). The pool was well maintained and perfect for swimming for a 2 and 5 year old. We spent many hours there. The dock on Goshorn lake was a blast for fishing with the little ones. There was an abundance of wildlife to see both from the dock and in kayaks. We particularly enjoyed that the lake was a "no wake" lake and very quiet. We spent a wonderful afternoon on Kalamazoo River cruising in a rented pontoon boat, docking by the dunes close to Lake Michigan and picnicking. Visits to Lake Michigan were great also. We ate out infrequently but enjoyed the Italian restaurant by the water and Phil's Bar and Grill. For the little ones, the Dutch Village, about 15 minutes away in Holland was a great side trip.
We would highly recommend this property.
We had a great time at our winter weekend getaway in Saugatuck. This property is warm and cozy, well maintained, clean, and well-stocked with everything we needed. It's just a short drive in town to enjoy the shops and restaurants, or to hike to the lake. The management company is excellent to work with!
Everything in perfect condition, clean, well stocked, very comfortable.
4 adults and 4 kids enjoyed this spacious home in early August. Loved the beautiful pine wood interior, the "bunk room," the hot tub, the lovely stone fireplace, the comfortable beds, and the convenience of the on-site gas grill. Kids swam a good bit at the pool (it is not real big though). We did grocery shopping in South Haven prior to arrival as there aren't big grocery stores in Saugatuck. Rental company staff were excellent and helpful. Only disappointment was that the kitchen was ill-equipped: terrible, dull knives, 1 old cookie sheet, no cake pan, limited cooking pots. As the group's Chief Chef this put a damper on things. Other than this--a fabulous house.
This home is a beautiful place to get away from the city life.We went there for a bachelorette party and had a wonderful time. I would recommend this to anyone and am looking forward to going up there again.
