Married since 1990 with 3 beautiful children and 1 grandchild. Just one left in the nest. We live in the nice humid state of Florida so we enjoy the trips to the cool mountains whenever we can.
Jeff or Jennifer Wasilewski purchased this cabin in 2006
So many things to do. We discover something every time we visit. The area offers so much without the busy traffic, noise, and tourist traps of other destinations.
We really enjoy the peacefulness of this property. The overlooking view of the spring fed lake. The fishing, hiking and outdoor activities are right out our back door. Its a place where we hope you will enjoy as much as we do.
We had a great stay. The house was nice plenty of room. The whole family enjoyed our stay. The owners were also very good at responding with any questions i had
This cabin was perfect for our girls' getaway. The description and photos just cannot explain how wonderful this place is. There were absolutely no problems. Jeff and Jennifer keep a beautiful place, and Gary (the caretaker) does a magnificent job taking care of the place! I hope to be back very soon and WILL recommend this beautiful cabin nestled in the mountains to all my friends.
What a great place to stay. The owner responded quickly to all inquiries. The location was so convenient to all the activities we planned - white water rafting, swimming, tubing, and hiking. Hanging in the hot tub was a great way to relax at the end of our busy days. Our family enjoyed this cabin so much. We are definitely planning a repeat stay for next year, but for even longer.
Our family stayed here August 7-12, 2015. We found everything to be exactly as advertised. Check-in is very easy. The location is quiet and peaceful. the cabin is very comfortable. It is convenient to the Nantahala Outdoor Center (about 9 miles from the cabin), and it is only a short drive to Cherokee, Bryson City, Fontana Dam, or the Great Smoky Mountains Nat'l Park. Fontana Lake is just a mile or two away, and there you can rent a pontoon boat for leisure, fishing, whatever. Antique shops and fresh produce stands are near by, too. The pond near the cabin is good for swimming and fishing, or just relaxing. We met several other residents, and everyone was very friendly.
I had no concerns after this vacation, and will recommend this rental and the VRBO-Homeaway website to anyone. The only thing one might need to be aware of is the steep grade of the road leading to the cabin. It's not really a problem unless you are afraid of steep, curvy gravel roads. We drove a Honda Odyssey mini-van, and had no problems.
Again, I recommend this cabin rental to anyone looking for a quiet, clean, and peaceful vacation rental.
This is place is wonderful, and so reasonably priced! My boyfriend and I rented this house last week for 5 days, and it was perfect for us! We had 5 adults and 2 children staying there, and it was just the right amount of space for all of us, 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The owners were quick to answer any of our questions, and the cabin was in great shape upon our arrival. The location is great! Wooded/secluded, and only about 15 minutes from Bryson City, and about 1.5 hours from Gatlinburg, TN. There is a nice little pond right down the hill from the cabin, and you can swim and fish there. We put our kayak in the pond and it was a blast. There are so many fun things to do in the area, or even a short drive away. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone who is looking!
We were initially a little skeptical about this property because there were not any recent reviews and the description and price seemed too good to be true. However, let me say that this place is AWESOME! It had everything that we needed and then some to make our trip extremely relaxing and enjoyable! The owners are very nice and prompt and while they do not live in the area; they have a local contact who will help you out with any issues that you may have and give you tips about places to visit "off the beaten path". We had a total of 4 adults and two young children and there was more than enough space for our group. My kids loved the closet full of games and the selection of movies. I also loved the seclusion of the cabin. There is one immediate neighbor but other than that the cabin is pretty isolated. The lake below is a small private lake which we brought our kayaks and fishing poles down to. The water temp was perfect for swimming, which my kids did every evening! I can't say enough about this place! We will definitely be returning.
